I am disappointed in the fact that I bought all these tickets at the DTE Energy Music Theater and I don't know where I will be sitting.  It says section numbers, in numerics, on the site but the theater has alpha seating not numerical seating.  How do I know where I am Kind of aggrivating.

I would never go and see Alice in Chains for the fact that Layne staley is no longer the vocals. It would be like trying to replace Ozzy with someone else, Not happening. Alice in chains died with Staley and will forever be known the way they were, one of the greatest bands ever.

Ozzy did get replaced by Dio in Black Sabbath, two times. People, there are two kinds of music out there  (GOOD MUSIC) and everything else.

Tasha - I too thought that when Layne died. But I had the chance to see AIC last November in a small club and it completely changed my mind. If you're a true AIC fan you will leave your ignorance behind and and least give them a shot. William Duvall was absolutley outstanding and I'd pay thousands to see them again if I had to. The "replacement" of Layne was done very tastefully. Trust me! Why should the guys quit doing AIC songs? Its not fair to them. The music in unbelievable and the band is equally incredible. Give them a chance, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!!!

right on, Detromental, that's what i have been trying to tell Dr X for a month now  if you are skeptical of Duvall, give them the benefit of the doubt and GO SEE THEM WITH DUVALL  if you are not happy then, well i don't know what to tell you sit around and mourn some more then, AIC has chosen to move on, we should too!!  you can't forget, but let it go man!!

I COULD CLIMB UNTIL I REACH WHERE ANGELS RESIDE
I COULD DROP UNTIL I TOUCH THE SINISTER SIDE
STILL YOU LEAVE ME ROTTING ON THIS ROCK ALL ALONE
IT'S MY FAULT FOR KNOWING NOT WHAT I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN
MY HEART IS DRIED UP  BEATING SLOW  IT'S BEEN DEFLATING SINCE YOU DIED

Alice in Chains needs to move on,Layne was one of a kind but Jerry Cantrell is Not tryin to replace him.rather, hes giving everyone a chance to hear this great music again.I always thought of the chains to be cantrells band anyways.Plus think about it,it's the perfect tribute to the legacy of Layne Staley.when ya listen toFacelift,SAP,Dirt,Jar of Flies andAlice in Chains[self titled]ya will say"man,Layne sounds so cool, that's old school Chains right there.then we will hear the new stuff and say"fuck this rules DuVall rocks".and the greatest band ever deserves a few more albums at least.ALICE LIVES ON!!!!! ...................Oh,and does anyone know if Alice in Chains will be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame? R.I.P. Layne.

I am very glad to have gotten tickets, but I was sad to see that we were not at least given the option of choosing floor seating or seats on the side of the arena during the pre-sale purchase process.  It's even more frustrating that we don't have a ballpark sense of where the purchased seats are located in the arena.  The public onsale for my show date is tomorrow, and it's certainly conceivable that someone who buys tickets at the public onsale will end up with better seats than I have -- but I wouldn't even know because I don't know where my seats are!  May I suggest that this process be refined a bit for future pre-sales?

Franck- a band is not elegible for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame until 25 years after thier first album is released... which would be 2015 for AIC. Metallica is 2008, though!

having to wait to find out where your seats are is a pretty common fanclub approach to to ticket sales. the waiting part does suck so i always go for GA tix. its more fun in the pit anyway!

21st June 06/07 : It's been one year since AIC played in Paris! Waouww! The best day of my life.. This band that I discovered when I was 13 & that I've been waiting more than 10 long years to see.. when I discovered the Moore theatre video show @ 13, for me it was so strong I couldn't beleive that in live it could be that good.. the voice of Layne.. it was just the impossible genius.. and still, for 10 long years, no shows... no "proof" that it was like this in reality, but still, AIC feed my soul day after day.. When I heard what I heard last year, just to see the band, even with Duvall... it was incredible! and thanks god Will is here to show all the fans the potential of Alice and to bring his soul & tribute to this music... and for sure, the new record will rule! THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL THE BAND TO COME AGAIN ON THE ROAD ! AND TO THE AIC COMMUNITY' FAN CLOB FOR THE EXCELLENT JOB YOU DO! :-) HOPE TO SEE THE BAND SOON IN PARIS !!!

I saw Alice at the DTE and it was the best show I've ever seen. I have been waiting along with everyone else for Alice In Fucking Chains to get back together and play. It sucks about Layne his voice was killer. William did great. The music was right on. When they came on stage and blasted right into AGAIN, I almost fucking fainted. Alice In Chains the music industry needs now more then ever because in BLOWS, THE WORLD NEEDS ALICE IN CHAINS. Please keep doing what your doing. AND make more records.
