Presales for Alice's Four Special Acoustic Shows

AliceInChains.com is pleased to announce that the band will be performing four special acoustic-only shows over the next few months. These Alice in Chains The Acoustic Hour shows will feature just Alice performing some of their most loved songs unplugged. The lucky cities that will be hosting these shows are Milwaukee, WI on August 31; St. Louis, MO on September 1; Austin, TX on September 29 and New Orleans, LA on October 1.

Beginning today, Wednesday, July 25, the AliceInChains.com Store will be holding exclusive presales for these four shows. For exact presale times, head over to the Tour Calendar. And don't forget that the earlier you buy your tickets, the better your seats will be so make sure that you're sign up for an account before the presales kick off this Wednesday.

Unplugged in Austin!  Best news of the year. It puts chills up and down my spine to have the oppertunity to experience this live. I remember the historic unplugged show on MTV like it was yesterday.  Wished I could have been there, now I can relive it again.  AIC is back and even though Layne is gone, William has done as bad ass job to carry the torch for the future.  Can't wait to hear the new stuff.

Thank you guys for coming back, it really means alot to those of us who grew up with your music.  It brings back memories of some of the beat times of my youth.

See you in Austin!

Milwaukee deserved a show, it is just a bonus that I don't have to sit thourgh VR too.  Couldn't believe there wasn't one in for Milwaukee in the original tour; this is even better.  Everybody who thinks that they shouldn't do sh!t without Layne is entitled to their opinion; but their opinions don't matter; Jerry, Shawn and Mike's do.

BTW, I saw AIC in Grande Prairie - they are a class act, and always will be... unless Jerry pulls some crap like Ax-hole (Chinese what? When?) Ha!  K, L8!

STOP the BS.  This is sooo ridiculous.  You guys are looking really desperate.  Keeping it a tribute is FINE but to live in the past from your past accomplishments with Duvall singing is just stupid.  START NEW cause it IS NEW!!!!  And Sean, you should be ashamed of yourself ole friend.

Your a negative person Dan. You should be ashamed of YOURSELF! So what that it makes us happy to love AIC. My dad died when I was in high school and the only thing i identified with at that devastating time in my life were my friends and AIC. What's ridiculous is you hating on people who love a positive thing. You must have pain, hurt and anger inside you and i feel bad for you. Try actually listening to the lyrics and maybe you too will find solice in them. Peace be with you.

Just wondering.... Did anybody have any luck getting tix to the Austin unplugged show on the AIC.com site pre-sale? Man, I was logged in @ 10:25 and got nowhere. Hope I can get some tix locally or it's Houston with VR which I definitely won't complain about. Ristband - I was at the Grande Prairie show last year too, it kicked ass!!!!!!

I had private box seats my awesome boyfriend scored. Swear to God Vinnie Paul from Pantera was in the box next to us. Walked past him on my way to get more beers. Everyone keep thinking positive. I wish we could all see them in Austin! Luvs,Gemini

i think that is very gay that alice in chains are doing all this touring with their new singer (William d.) and still calling them selfs alice.  lane's voise me what alice in chains are. not jerry's guitar licks, or mike's token base riffs, it was lane's voice that was what people enjoyed. so i find it stupid that they are going around calling them selfs alice. what they need to do when they tour is make the whole tour a tribute to lane  staley.

I don't think it's hating on the band OR the fans to state that Alice should move on as a totally NEW group with a name change.

You fans can call USold fans  living in the past.  But it is YOU and the BAND who are living in the past.  Whether you want to accept it or not LAYNE's VOICE is what Alice IS about. (layne & Jerry too).  WITHOUT ONE; YOU CANNOT MOVE ON AS IT WAS & PRETEND.  wHY noT? Because ALICE is an ORIGINAL!!!!  Stick them where they belong!!  They have accomplished an original legecy that most band never accomplish but can only try to copy but are NEVER successful.  I don't want to see Alice laughed at as a copy band.  They went out last year as a tribute.  NOw, what are they doing?  They don't even want to accept what they are doing themselves.  They're playing all of you.

no one is getting playrd here  not everyone has to like this but for the love of god quit trying to bring everyone else down with your negativity why can't you just let the people who want to enjoy this enjoy it  i have followed this band for fifteen years maybe some of us who didn't get very many chances to see this band back then ( i saw them twice with LAYNE) like this idea LAYNE was DEFINITELY what originally attracted me to this band his voice is from ABOVE and there will never be another but i am tired of all you assholes raining on everyone else"s parade after the small venue tour they did in support of the DIRT album, and aside from LOLLAPALOOZA they just didn"t tour to speak of there is a demand for this band even without LAYNE  no matter what all of you assholes say!!!

Wow, was the Sept. 1st show in St. Louis incredible or what???? Still amazed at how good it was. William Duvall sounded great and he plays good guitar. Up to them whether they change their name or go on as AIC, but the show was unbelievable. Recorded a live DVD that hopefully we'll all get to see soon. The crowd ROCKED!! And both Jerry and Sean signed lots of autographs after the show. Too cool. One of the best shows ever.
