AiC Rocked Velvet out of the house!!!  Saw them at Mohegan in August.  I agree, they should have been the headliners.  Many folks at the show were of the same opinion. Sorry to say Scott has lost his touch, but Jerry has not at all he rocks as does the rest of the band.

Seen the show in Vancouver BC and GOD DAMN! Never thought i'd ever see AIC live...EVER. Jerry, Mike and Sean still have it! so talented nothing has changed! I didnt know what to expect with Layne not singing but man William Duvall was the perfect front man to well not replace but to fill in for Layne! You could close your eyes and it was like hearing Layne himself! Keep kickin ass and come back!

My sentiments are much the same as Kyles. My wife and I never thought we would see AIC but we now feel completeafter seeing the Vancouver show. They blew us away and surpassed all expectations as William Duvall was amazing in filling Lanes big shoes and looks more than ready to carry on the bright AIC torch. Oh and what a set list, it was like they could read my mind. They fit in all our gotta hear tunes in the to short play list. We can only pray they come back as headliners and give us a longer show. Keep up the good work boys and keep on rock'n as only you guys can!!!

Ok, so i was 4th row, 9-9-07.  it was a nearly sold out venue (Clark County Amphitheater) and Sparta takes the stage...never hear of them before, they were ok.

next up is Alice In Chains.

the crowd goes nuts...

On comes Jerry, then Sean, then Mike and finally William.  Again is perfectly belted out, then Grind, absolutely perfect.  I wish they would have played more,VR was good, and Slash was great and all of that, but really now, Jerry Cantrell VS. Slash...celebrity deathmatch hasn't done it, but Jerry would own Slash.  it was my 2nd time seeing AIC, but 3rd seeing Jerry.  I WILL KEEP GOING BACK.  oh, and contrary to what 'staley4ever' said, William is a great singer, sure he may not be Layne, but he's talented and impressive.  He's done a hell of job considering the size of shoes he stepped into.

KUDOS TO WILLIAM DUVALL, and major ups to Sean Kinney, Mike Inez, and Jerry Cantrell.  AWESOME JOB GUYS.

saw chains and revolver in st paul . I was blown away, revolver was good but chains rules. william duvall is the real deal, at first i thought he was lipsynking but soon realized he wasn't. Only thing that sucked was they shouldve been the headliner with double the setlist. AWSOME SHOW!! hope to see them again soon.

Ive been listening to chains since the beginning. After lanes early demise I never thought I would get to see "AIC".  Well I saw AIC at the clark county amphitheater last night and was totally blown away at the accuracy in reproducing lanes style of singing. KEEP IT UP! You will be headling again soon. It must feel like a scene from "rockstar" for Duvall!!

AIC should HEADLINE! I never got the chance to see AIC before Layne passed, but I went to see Jerry at 4th and B down in San Diego in 2002. Most of the songs were off Jerry's Degradation Trip (highly recommended) and towards the end he did a few AIC songs. I hope to see Jerry, Sean and Mike one of these days. AIC was truly a timeless band. Their progression from the early days up until Unplugged showed the talent of the band and I really think their best material was off up EP's like Sap. I spent my teenage years listening to these guys and the songs really spoke to me. I only wish that Layne could have overcome his demons and continued recording. Nevertheless, AIC is still kicking ass and can blow away any of the current bands out there on the "rock" circuit. Hey Jerry, how about getting together with Chris and doing Right Turn at your next show? I think I'de sell my soul to see that!

Saw the unplugged show in st. louis. These guys blew me away. The band sounded incredible.William Duvall is a great addition to the band. At times he may sound a little like Layne, but truely I think he has a style all his own,but fits well with the AIC sound.Either way it was the best show I've seen in a long time.KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!

Saw them last night in Santa Barbara. I was not expecting William to be so good. Seeing AIC was something that I thought would never happen after Lane passed, and I'd like to thank the band for putting on a wonderful performance. Also, Velvet Revolver put on a very good show too, and I was thoroughly impressed.

I just saw the show last night...AIC rocked the house and I really wished they were the headliner!!!  With Layne gone I was pretty skeptical about going cause his voice along with Jerry was so freaking soothing to me.  I was impressed w/ William he did well but there were some moments you wish it was Layne...he is special!  But I will definitely go see AIC again...no hesitations on my part ever again!!!

We saw Alice in Chains on 9/9 at Clark county near Portland, and again on 9/14 at the
Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord CA.  The sound was so much better in Concord!!!
They should be headlining, as who had even heard of VR??????  Not me.  Only
dissapointment was that neither place would let me bring in my camera!  I so wanted
a pix of Jerry with his hair flying!  He is and always has been my favorite AIC member.
AIC rules! Come back soon guys, you ROCK MY WORLD.

Going to the show I didn't know what to expect.  Hadn't heard much of VR's stuff and I am a huge AIC fan.  I figured it could go either way.  I was totally blown away by AIC's set.  The new singer had great energy and the band rocked.  Anytime Alice In Chains comes back to Phoenix I will definitely be there.  I even liked Rooster live, which is an amazing feat considering I refuse to listen to it since it got so overplayed when it came out. The only disappointment was VR's set.  After the great ass-kickery I witnessed from AIC I expected something to equal it from the headliner and I didn't get it not even close. I sincerely hope that AIC will record some new music and soon because I absolutely want to hear more.  Thanks for coming to Phoenix.

I too was blown away by what a great show AIC put on.  I've never seen them in concert and don't go to many of them anyway.  But the new lead singer sounded great and he definitely fit in well with the rest of the band.  My friend declined to go to the show because "it just isn't the same without Lane".  He missed a hell of a show.  As for VR - I'm a big Stone Temple Pilots and Guns 'n Roses fan.  I've been to several STP concerts and one other VR concert here.  It wasn't as rockin as I expected.  People were leaving left and right when VR went on.  Maybe it's because of the new songs they played that people don't know.  But without a doubt Scott Weiland is the best front man I've seen (with respects to Axl Rose, who I haven't seen)  His energy is unparalled - and I love it when he starts gyrating across the stage with his arm movements and such.  The STP and GnR songs they did play were great additions to the set (Patience, It's so easy, Vasoline, Interstate Love song)  and Scott even did a good job on the higher "Axl"-type notes at the end of Patience.  Overall, I had a great time last night and really enjoyed both bands.

I promise you, it'll be a life-altering experience that you will never forget!!!

WoW!!!!  I was front row with my girlfriend at the Phoenix show on 9/18.  The opening act Sparta was pretty good!

Then AIC took the stage and opened with "Again"!!!!  AWSOME!!!!
My opinion is that William is a good singer and does bring a new feeling to the band, but it's a good one!  We all miss Layne, but we have to move on.

As VR took the stage, they blasted " You are now about to witness the strength of street knowledge"....Straight outta Compton!!!!  Awsome!  I don't know any of VR's songs, but they rocked also.  Scott Weiland, you either love him or hate him.  I love him!  So much energy!  Everything I expected and more!!!!

This was my first time seeing any of these bands in concert!

I must say that Aic completely wiped the floor with VR - no contest there.  William will do a fine job of filling Layne's shoes - something I never thought I would see.  I never saw them with Layne, but I have to guess that this is the next best thing.  Congrats to Jerry and company for stepping up to the plate. Also - Sparta was kick ass - I know you never heard of them but go with an open mind.  They are a great band.  I guess i have to say thanx to VR for asking them on the tour, because I have been a Sparta fan from day one.
Go see this show, you will not be disapointed!

Last nights (9/21) Vegas show was AWESOME. William did a great job on lead vocals, the sound was great. But everyone around me, myself included, wanted an encore. That was the only problem, not enough AIC in one night.

ALICE ROCKS!!!i DO NOT CARE WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS...ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL BE AN ALICE FAN. SEATTLE NATIVE GIVES NOD OF APPROVAL AND STAMP OF EXCELLENCE TO THE BAND AS THEY ARE ON A REVOLUTIONARY TOUR. I AGREE, I WAS SKEPTICAL AT FIRST, BUT I WITNESSED AT THE GORGE WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE REINCARNATION OF LAYNE STALEY. NO DISRESPECT, I MEAN THAT WITH ALL SINCERITY. WHEN THEY ROCKED WOULD?I CLOSED MY EYES AND WAS LITERALLY MOVED AND WAS BROUGHT TO TEARS BECAUSE ITS LIKE LAYNE WAS SINGING-RIGHT THERE.  FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT IMAGINE AIC W/O LAYNE'S VOICE,  ITS TRUE. -GO LISTEN 4 YOURSELF! IT WAS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL, ALMOST SPOOKY.HOWEVER, FOR A BAND ALWAYS SO AHEAD OF IT'S TIME AND TOO GOOD TO LAST, ITS THE ONLY WAY IT CAN BE. AC/DC DID IT!.  AND SO ALICE LIVES!!

Come on everybody, Velvet Revolver kicked ass too!  You have to admit seeing Slash, Scott Weiland and Duff all together on stage at the same time, doing Vasoline, Interstate Love song and Patience.......Wow!!!   I love AIC too, but give VR some credit for even inviting AIC on tour with them.  That was a big time gesture from those boys.

Yeah, I can't believe AIC didn't do an encore either, that sucked.  Maybe next time.

I went to the Acoustic Session in Austin Tx at Antones. The show was nothing short of amazing, It was the best two hours of my life!
Got in line 5 hours early, got rained on (i mean soaked!), but the crew was amazing! They came out and gave those of us who endured it the AIC football shirts. I also got to talk to Mike Inez. Me and a friend who were first in line also got interviewed by their crew! I even got to take a pic with William Duvall! A gutair pick from Jerry, and front row. The vibe was amazing, I mean truly a treat. I really enjoyed the comedian and Sounds on the Raido, and I give the lead of Velvet Revolver 5 stars for attempting to sing Angry chair. Though he messed up on the words and timing of the words, the rest of the band was able to pull the song together.
The same guy who interviewed me, also came over and persoanlly gave me a pick and the song list Jerry was reading off of!
Truly a treat and more than worth every penny.
I would do it all over again, I would stand in line 5 more hours just to see that show!!
Good job guys!!

Just got home from the show here in Atlanta and the show was SICK! It's been said here several times already but AIC should have headlined. Velvet Revolver was very good but Alice in Chains stole the evening. Duvall was amazing as lead vocalist and held court at the Amphitheater in a major way. I got to meet him after the show but unfortunately Jerry Cantrell, who I really wanted to meet, didn't hang around long. No matter though, I always hated that I never got to see the band when Layne was alive, but the band totally kicked this evening with Duvall in the lead...

Good show, guys...REALLY good.

The very first show Alice played in Toronto at the Kool Haus on November 5, 2006, Was a very difficult show for me to attend seeing as I spent years of my life seeing every Alice show and being friends with the band.  It was very difficult for me to enter the venue and they had just started their set.  I walked in , looked up at the stage, and rand back out crying because it was so hard for me to not see and know Layne was not and never willbe there with them again!  I mustered up the courage. dried my tears and walked into the show again and realized that, although there will never be another Layne ever again, that scouring the ends of the earth and searching under every nook and cranny, the closest vacalist you could ever wish to find , which, Jerry, did in fact accomplish, Was, and is William Duvall, What a great show!  Alice is still rockin , and thumbs up to William for having the balls, to get up there with them knowing he cannot fill Layne's shoes, but comes a very close second and has great magnetism with Jerry and the boys and they still kick every other rock band's ass!!!!!!!
I am a true believer.   xoxoxoxo
