I went to the Alice in Chains Concert in WEST PALM BEACH. They were great very tight solid sound. I wasn't sure about seeing this new singer I am a VERY VERY big fan of Alice in chains and still heatbroken over the death of Layne.  I will say that the singer did do a good job, of course he could not really copy Laynes voice there was truly something sexy about it but certain notes of harmony between him and Jerry could never be copied.  After all they are Alice in Chains, this new singer was like I said okay BUT he is to happy to be a Grunge singer, he was more like a pop star made me angry to see him move around on stage like a pop star...HELLO??? You are with the BEST of the BEST Grunge groups not MTV crap pop...I could not except him up there. I went to a concert in Orlando with AudioSlave and Seether at the Hard Rock and Seether brought out this kid to sing while they did a cover of Man in the Box. This KID was a perfect match up of Layne's voice, I mean the whole crowd went crazy, you would have though Layne was on stage it was amazing. I  wish Alice in Chains had gotten this kid to replace Layne he was truly a good copy.  I was very very happy to see Jerry and the guys back on stage and I know there will never be a real replacement for Layne but  it wasn't right, couldn't quite fit the bill . I think people justwanted to see Alice in Chains because of who they are and the singer just didn't matter, just a singer.
