It's true; Alice will be joining their friends Velvet Revolver for one last date this year. The two bands will perform on Wednesday, December 12 at Universal City's Gibson Amphitheatre in California. There will be no presale for this show as tickets are currently on sale. If you purchased tickets for this show's original October 26 date via Ticketmaster outlets or the venue's box office, you can exchange your tickets for new ones at the Gibson Amphitheatre's box office. Tickets that were purchased by phone or online will be automatically reissued. You can also refund your tickets at the point-of-purchase if you for some reason can't make this great night of rock.

Due to the wildfires in Orange County the gig in Irvine, CA on Friday, October 26 has been canceled. Re-Evolution Tour ticket holders for this show should wait for further instructions as there is talk of rescheduling the gig. It's official! Another date has been added to Alice's tour schedule and tickets for an October 11 Acoustic Hour show in Orlando, FL are now being sold through Ticketmaster. This show will take place at the House of Blues. The Acoustic Hour shows will see Social Ghost will be opening for the guys from the Orlando, FL date through to the Nashville, TN date.

Alice in Chains have been named as one of the headlining acts at this year's Symphony Legacy. This annual charity event that raises funds for Seattle's Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center will take place on Friday, November 2 at Seattle's beautiful Benaroya Hall. It promises to be an amazing night with performances from Heart, the Northwest Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Girlchoir and more. On August 22, Layne's birthday, we added the Layne Tribute video as well as a never-before released video of Layne performing "Dam That River" to this page. First, the Re-Evolution Tour will stop by Seattle's Gorge Amphitheatre on September 8. Then the following evening, September 9, the tour will head over to Ridgefield's Clark County Amphitheater to rock the residents of the surrounding area. The AliceInChains.com Store will be holding presales for both of these shows on Wednesday, July 25. Tickets for the Seattle show will go on sale at 9am PDT while tickets for the Ridgefield (Portland) show will go on sale thirty minutes later.

This year's Layne Staley Tribute and Benefit Concert will take place on Saturday, August 25 at the Fenix (formerly The Premier), located at 1700 1st Avenue S., Seattle, WA. Rising rock star Daughtry, who cites Layne as a heavy influence, will take to the stage to honor Layne and his fans. Other performers include Seattle bands Soulbender and Riverbend. This unique event will also include a jam band of special guests from the Seattle music community, a special performance by Layne's mother, Nancy McCallum, and will commemorate the fact that August 22 would have been Layne's 40th birthday.
Tickets for this important event will go on sale this Friday, June 1, at 9am at all Ticketwest outlets, including Rudy's Barbershops and select QFC Food Centers. It's time to honor Dimebag Darrell. On May 17, Six String Mastepieces will be presenting The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute Auction. Being auctioned off will be guitars designed and decorated by some of rock's greatest including our own Jerry Cantrell. Guitars will be on display at LaLuz DeJesus Gallery in L.A. (4633 Hollywood Ave) from May 4 to May 16. To check out Jerry's guitar, click here. The auction will also feature performances by Vinnie Paul Abbot, David Draiman (Disturbed), Aaron Lewis (Staind), Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) and many more. This great event will be held at the House of Blues Hollywood after Abbott's induction to the Hollywood Guitar Center Rock Walk is complete. All profits raised from it will go towards The Little Kids Rock Foundation.

Alice will be performing as part of the line-up for the second annual VH1 Rock Honors show. This year, the show will honor Ozzy Osbourne, Genesis, Heart and ZZ Top. The honorees, along with Alice and a number of other bands including Queens of the Stone Age, Keane and Nickelback, will perform live on Saturday, May 12 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The entire show will be taped and then aired on VH1 on Thursday, May 24 at 9pm ET. If you want tickets to this event, you can get them from Ticketmaster.

On Tuesday, April 10, Alice in Chains played a surprise show at Hollywood's Hotel Cafe in support of Tom Morello's Axis of Justice organization. After playing a few acoustic Alice tracks, the band members joined the evening's other guests in what could best be described at a celebrity jam-session. To celebrate his music and to spread a message of hope to prevent further tragedy, Layne's mother; Nancy McCallum, formed the Layne Staley Fund. This is a non-profit organization that raises money for drug treatment and works with the Seattle music community.
