One Last Re-Evolution Tour Date

It's true; Alice will be joining their friends Velvet Revolver for one last date this year. The two bands will perform on Wednesday, December 12 at Universal City's Gibson Amphitheatre in California. There will be no presale for this show as tickets are currently on sale.

If you purchased tickets for this show's original October 26 date via Ticketmaster outlets or the venue's box office, you can exchange your tickets for new ones at the Gibson Amphitheatre's box office. Tickets that were purchased by phone or online will be automatically reissued. You can also refund your tickets at the point-of-purchase if you for some reason can't make this great night of rock.

Due to the wildfires in Orange County the gig in Irvine, CA on Friday, October 26 has been canceled. Re-Evolution Tour ticket holders for this show should wait for further instructions as there is talk of rescheduling the gig.

This annual charity event that raises funds for Seattle's Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center will take place on Friday, November 2 at Seattle's beautiful Benaroya Hall. It promises to be an amazing night with performances from Heart, the Northwest Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Girlchoir and more.

First, the Re-Evolution Tour will stop by Seattle's Gorge Amphitheatre on September 8. Then the following evening, September 9, the tour will head over to Ridgefield's Clark County Amphitheater to rock the residents of the surrounding area. Update On The 6th Annual Layne Staley Tribute & Benefit Concert

This year's Layne Staley Tribute and Benefit Concert will take place on Saturday, August 25 at the Fenix (formerly The Premier), located at 1700 1st Avenue S., Seattle, WA. Rising rock star Daughtry, who cites Layne as a heavy influence, will take to the stage to honor Layne and his fans. Other performers include Seattle bands Soulbender and Riverbend. This unique event will also include a jam band of special guests from the Seattle music community, a special performance by Layne's mother, Nancy McCallum, and will commemorate the fact that August 22 would have been Layne's 40th birthday.

Tickets for this important event will go on sale this Friday, June 1, at 9am at all Ticketwest outlets, including Rudy's Barbershops and select QFC Food Centers. It's time to honor Dimebag Darrell. On May 17, Six String Mastepieces will be presenting The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute Auction. Being auctioned off will be guitars designed and decorated by some of rock's greatest including our own Jerry Cantrell. Guitars will be on display at LaLuz DeJesus Gallery in L.A. Alice To Perform At VH1's Rock Honors

Alice will be performing as part of the line-up for the second annual VH1 Rock Honors show. This year, the show will honor Ozzy Osbourne, Genesis, Heart and ZZ Top. The honorees, along with Alice and a number of other bands including Queens of the Stone Age, Keane and Nickelback, will perform live on Saturday, May 12 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The entire show will be taped and then aired on VH1 on Thursday, May 24 at 9pm ET. If you want tickets to this event, you can get them from Ticketmaster.

To celebrate his music and to spread a message of hope to prevent further tragedy, Layne's mother; Nancy McCallum, formed the Layne Staley Fund. This is a non-profit organization that raises money for drug treatment and works with the Seattle music community.

Mike And Jerry At The NAMM Show

Mike will be signing autographs all weekend (January 20-21) long at this year's NAMM Show. You can also catch him on Friday at 1pm at the Ampeg booth with Bootsy Collins, Billy Sheehan and Puddle of Mudd's Doug Ardito.

Jerry will also be spending some time at the NAMM show. You can catch him at 3pm on the 20 at the Dean Markley both and then at 4pm at the Kahler booth. Mike will also be joining Jerry at 3pm at the Dean Markley booth.

Happy Holidays 2006 AICer's!

Now that the tour is over, I just realized that we're a little late for our first post.. Shit !!!

First of all, and most importantly, I'd like to thank each and everyone of you cool fuckers for coming out and saying hello this year. It was a SUPREME pleasure playing for you and seeing ya'all face to face. Those songs we played are obviously very dear to us and it, quite literally, means the world to us that you guys showed up and shared the vibe. Much love. Thanks for havin' us in your nice cities (and the shitty ones too) and singin' along. Thanks for all those beers and shots and jokes and memories that we shared on this crazy tour. You guys are a blast! It was so nice to see a lotta old friends out there and really cool to kick it with the new ones too. My friend the Baldy and I were talking on the telephone the other day and he told me that, when all was said and done, we did 86 shows in 78 cities, 21 countries and over 50,000 miles or so. Sean and Jerry hate it when we count em down. They say it makes it longer, but I still think it's cool that we made it through the year with, more or less , a smile on our collective face. And it was you that made it "it", y'know what I mean? So thanks again.

I'd like to also thank our lovable road crew for tirelessly setting up and tearing down and setting up and tearing down and setting up. etc. And for not bitching and moaning about every goddamn thing (HA!!!). But ,in all seriousness, we couldn't do it without you guys. Massive love and mucho respecto to you. Especially our brothers Big Val the Invincible, Baldy the Milk Marker, and Spiderman. You were the only ones from start to end and we appreciate the long friendships and hard work. Now lose our phone numbers assholes...

Also, I'd like to thank our managers, Susan Silver, Bill Siddons and CORE managements' staff for the constant "big this and the lil that" stuff that we know you guys deal with on a daily basis on our behalf. Thank you for steering with your hearts, you are greatly loved.

And to our Road Managers Dave and Chuck, you two guys are superheroes and it's been a pleasure doin' the miles with you both. But, I still think that my per diems were short and I'm missing some laundry...

And, thanks to John at CAA ,our agent provacateur, and all of the rest of the various publicists, accountants, promoters, venue staff, rehearsal staff, security, police, fire, paramedic staffs, support team, web site peeps, endorsers, merchandisers, sponsors, photographers, pilots and drivers and especially the caterers, that make a successful circus shine.

And we can't forget about the many talented musicians who shared the stage with us from our opening acts: Blood Simple, HURT, Stone Sour to our many on-stage guests: Phil Anselmo, Chester Bennington, Billy Corgan, Chris DeGarmo, Vinnie Dombroski, James Hetfield, Maynard James Keenan, Pat Lachman, Mark Lanegan, Aaron Lewis, Duff McKagan, Dave Navarro, Scott Olson, Stephen Perkins, Doug Pinnick, Josh Rand, Kyle Sanders, Wes Scantlin, Corey Taylor, Kim Thayil, Lars Ulrich, Tim Williams, Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson.

I can't even begin to explain the different emotional colors and shades I've personally experienced on this tour. I've been all over the map as far as thoughts and feelings are concerned about it all and this tour has been a great way to shine a flashlight on stuff that I needed to get out of my mental basement. It's been great to get up and play these old songs and the rebirthing experience has been incredible! As high as a guy can get playing music...but,, also.. I miss Layne greatly and there isn't a day (on tour or off) that I don't think of him. He still resonates... in you too, I imagine...and I'll always hear his voice. I'm really happy that Sean called Jerry and I again after so long, and said we needed to play. For Tsunami victims even...Wow! Did we really wanna go there? What was there now?? 10 years later?

But of course, we were on the next flight up to Seattle. We needed to go through this together. Whatever "this" was. We needed to celebrate our past and go through our mourning process on a whole different level. A musical level. So we went back to that sacred place and we found a funny thing there. You! All of you wanted to go back and have a listen too! This tour has been very cathartic for me in the respect that it really did feel alright to play these songs again. And all of you were kind enough to lend an ear. Hope it was loud enough...

One last person I wanna thank is William Duvall. This mother fucker is a gamer. I saw first hand how much balls it took Will to get up there night after night, country after country and look it in the eye and absolutely sing his fuckin' guts out. He is such a great talent and it's great watching him represent.

I guess this is where we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ( I won't bring up the genocide in Darfur, or the people that are burning in Iraq..) So, speaking for Jerry, Sean, William and myself...

The login process for the AliceInChains.com Store and the Discussion Board has now been combined into one easy step. This means that you will be able to access the whole site with only one username and password.

If you already have a Discussion Board account set up, please use its login info to access the Store. All Discussion Board members will automatically have a basic Store account associated with their Discussion Board IDs however, they will need to add in any address or credit card info. If you do not have a Discussion Board account, you will need to create one in order to have a Store account.

All Store accounts created prior to December 6, 2006 have been deleted. However, the deletion of those accounts do not affect any orders placed before December 6.

AiC To Take Part In Rock For Darfur
