    Backstudio With the Creep

Well, I really have to thank the guys for picking me up today. I've been really excited to hear the new album, and I have to back the bald one up in saying that it's really heavy. So I get there, around 2 PMish, we park my Stang (the guys left the bus and took it, sweet ride) next to Baldy's Kia, I help unpack their gear, and go inside. They set up for a few minutes, then Jerry's like "Ok, Lauren, we're gonna play some of the new stuff we've worked on, let us know how you like it" and they go into this song that... I can't explain it. It's kind of like The Final Countdown, but being played by Celine Dion. It was just insane. I've never heard anything heavier. I'm totally in shock after hearing such an awesome song, but then Mike and Sean come out, alone, to do this stunningly beautiful duet of Rammstein's Wollt Ihr Das Bett in Flammen Sehen? If I had a lighter on me, I would have lit it. I've never heard anything so amazing before. So they take a break, and I tell them how awesome everything was. They were really flattered, and Jer let me use his gear while they were all resting to record an instrumental version of Godsmack's Moon Baby that they plan on putting on the new album. He was kind of mad at first that I threw it into my tuning, but he fell in love with that "I don't know how to tune a guitar" sound as they started into their 3rd song. This one... Are any of you familiar with that electronica band Simon and Milo? Well, this new song could have fit onto their Ready Ready Set Go album any day. I was still doing the robot when Mike came out to get another beer. He threw me one, and I sat back down to listen to the rest of their stuff. Track 4, damn! It sounded a lot like if Fall Out Boy were to play that Scotsman song, if you know which one I'm referring to. Track 5 was a little more radio friendly than the others were, but it was still very heavy, like the rest of them. They came back out after the fifth one, and asked me again what I thought of what they'd written so far for the album, and I again told them how rocking it was. We decided to head out for some dinner after all of that, and we split into Xavier's (you guys do know Baldy's name, right?) and my cars and raced out of there. I grabbed Will's cell and called Xav, and I was like "Hey, Dickenson, where are we going?" and he's like "I don't know, let me ask everyone... No one really cares, where do you want to go?" and I was like "Well, Rosie's Pizza in Elyria kicks ass" so we called and had them deliver to the studio after all. We went back and passed the time waiting with a very competitive game of Clue. Sean got slaughtered the first round, so we split into teams, with me and Will, Mike and Sean, and then Jerry and Xavier. Me and Will pwned 'em, and then I was like "Hey, you guys should probably pick a new strategy, losing isn't working very well for you!" It was pretty cutthroat. I would have told you that no game is more competitive than Old Maid, but Alice takes their Clue very seriously. Around 1 AM, the pizza comes, and they loved it so much we wrote a song called "Whole Lotta Rosie's" on the spot, featuring me on harmonica. It's gonna be the single, we think, because of how original it is. I'm not sure what time it was, but judging by the 1:47AM shadow on Xav's head, I figure it was around 2. No one was really tired after a day of such excitement, so we decided to play a fun little game of Truth or Dare, followed by an intense pillow fight, which ended when Sean hit Xav too hard, probably for killing him in Clue. We all calmed down a little as XD iced his wounds, and had an in-depth discussion about the string theory. They had some pretty interesting opinions on it, and Will revealed he's been working on a book about it, which I'm looking forward to reading when he gets it published. However, after a few minutes of our scientific talk, Will and I noticed that everyone else had fallen asleep. We continued on quietly for a while, but then we couldn't resist the urge to do something, so we moved Jerry so he was spooning Xav on the couch. I shaved off Sean's left eyebrow, and Will put several pieces of gum into Mike's hair. After doing that, I wished Will a good night, and crashed in my car. Even though I left my sunroof open, nothing had happened to me, so I quietly went inside to see everyone wake up. You'll need to subscribe to hear how everyone reacted and to see the videos.

Oh, and here's a pic I sketched of my fun day #1 Backstudio With Alice in Chains-

    Re: Backstudio With the Creep

Um, yes? Sure. You wouldn't believe who stopped by today. Here's another- not even on Singulair this time, losers- update from the studio-

    Day 2-

The guys wanted me to up what they've done so far, so I went ahead and did it for you all, since I'm in the studio and not on dial up anymore-

    www.megaupload.com/

Oh wait I didn't copy the extension! Oh well, just trust me, since I've heard it, it's good.

Well, on to today's fun-ness. Still can't tell you how everyone reacted. But it really didn't have a big effect on our day, so you guys didn't miss much besides how funny it was. It was around 1 PM when we decided to lay something else down. Everyone was just jamming and trying to think of something cool, when I was like "Hey, what about this?" and played a song I'd been working on through Mike's amps. Everyone was pretty impressed, and I gained another track including me on the new album. Will wrote some pretty sweet lyrics to it, all about how cutting yourself is awesome. Did I mention they turned into an emo band? Well they did. With the exception of their electronica stuff. My bassline wasn't emo, but they made the rest of the song emo, so Jerry had to play guitar with his foot to imitate the average emo guitarist's skill, and Sean induced a seizure so he'd randomly hit drums. Will held his nose and sung in a nasaly, painful to listen to voice, and we're pretty sure it'll be a hit. Now, as I was in there laying down my track (we decided to double the bass, so Mike and I could both play), guess who walks in. Bret Michaels, my hero! Just when I thought the day couldn't be any cooler. So he sits in there and listens to what we've got so far while asking us our opinion on Rock of Love III. We gave him some advice, and suggested that he grow real hair, but he seemed to get a little pissed at that, and left. Oh well. He did mess with our emo lyrics a little, so they've got some Poison-like qualities to them now. I know you guys are gonna love it. Especially that one boardie who likes Justin Timberlake. Hell yeah I remember that, loser. Getting back to the point, though, we were still short a few songs. I did tell them that I, under no circumstances, want another damn orange cover on their album, because I can't tell them apart in the dark. Will told me that his favorite color, green, would most likely be the main theme color, so I was cool with that. We were getting hungry again, but when we tried calling Rosie's again, we found out that there was a massive gang war going on back in Elyria and no one showed up for work. There was also a huge riot going on because no one was getting their pizza. So we were pretty disappointed. Mike was going to try Pizza Hut, but they were just too inferior compared to Rosie's. We all jumped back in our cars to find something, and ended up at Applebee's. Not bad stuff. While we were out, we decided to head out shopping. We hit a Guitar Center first, and everyone was pretty excited to see the band. We ended up plugging in and playing our new emo song, and everyone loved it, even though we forgot to knock 'em out of standard tuning and into mine. They actually gave us the keys to the store because we were so awesome. But since we only had a Stang and a Kia, we couldn't take full advantage of it. But then, Punky comes forward from the crowd, and is like "Hey Creep, my minivan's parked out back! We decided to take a vacation from whatever lame ass state we live in to help you out creatively! You guys can take that!" so we let XD pick out a bunch of gear so he wouldn't be so much dead weight, unlike me. Hint hint. If I wasn't in the studio with you already, I'd be hinting that I should be. Kind of what these two posts have been about. Anyways, we hit some other places, and bought some stuff. Yeah. Pretty sweet. I'd talk about how the stuff was related to the gum and lack of eyebrow, but you guys didn't subscribe, you losers. I have a life you know, I can't just sit here and tell you about what happened when you don't pay me. In fact, I think on the subscriber's version of this, I copied the full megaupload link. Too bad for you guys. Later, we're back in the studio, and XD brought out his game of Boggle. There was actually a fistfight over whether or not to count 'funkalicious' as a word. Big Val won with yes. However, Buzz Killington Xav and his stupid black eye stopped playing and took his game back. But that's today's drawing, so it's all cool.

    Re: Backstudio With the Creep

    This one is solid LOL

Day 3- Sunday (I'll start dating them)

Just to let everyone know again, Rosie's Pizza kicks ass. I can't think of any way that it'd be involved in today's events, so it can just get mentioned now. They aren't sponsoring Alice, though. Just mentioning them with my own free will. Remember, buy two large one topping pizzas at regular price, get a third free! Just kidding. Maybe. You won't know until the tour.

Today, we decided that two days in the studio allows us one day of doing nothing (sort of like the deal at Rosie's), so Sean was like "Hey, it's raining, let's do something outside!" The only games we could all play were ping pong (they have tables outside at this studio) and deflatedball, so we went with the fun one. Ping pong. I pretty much owned, except for when I played Jerry, Sean, Mike, Will, or XD. But whatever. I'm hanging out with Alice and you aren't. Sadly, I was eliminated by the slaughter rule, so I watched for a while, but ultimately got bored, as most people normally would watching ping pong for any period of time. Every video game they had seemed to be sports-related, and I'm more of a GTA person, so again, I was bored. They finished up and started playing Madden, so I decided, instead of taking Will's lyrics to heart or something similar and more interesting, I should head out in my car (everyone knows the driving age is 14.97 years) and experience the big city. Xav came with me, since he sucks at the game. Oh. But I didn't let him drive because he only has a Kia and my car is just too cool for him. So anyways, we were going down some road, and we started talking about the forums here. I asked "Hey, a lot of people wonder if you or the guys have accounts that they check the place out on. Care to let me in on some info?" He laughed and said "Well, of course we all have second accounts! Jerry had this one for a while called laynetorest. You all would've known that if you'd clicked that link! Then Mike had one for a while, groucho or something like that. Both of them ended up getting banned, but they did try again on another one." I replied "You know, I've always suspected them of being behind those accounts, but I never knew for sure. *laugh* Since I've got you here, want to answer a bunch of questions that people have been asking?" Xav nodded, and I asked "Ok, I've been meaning to ask the guys, and they did tell me that the new album won't be orange, but do you know the title of it yet?" I'll do it like this so I don't exhaust all of my transistional dialogue words-

XD- "Yeah, they did tell me. It's gonna be called IV. Because it's pretty original, just like that song we wrote two days ago. Besides, it will be their 4th full length studio album."
    Me- "Aw, cool."
XD- "They were kicking around 'Back in Black', but they figured it might be a little offensive to some people."
Me- "Oh, yeah, that might be. There's another thing I've been getting around to asking, why am I here?"
XD- "If you want some deep philosophical explanation, you better ask Will. By the way, he hates being called Wm, it's pretty lame, you know?"
Me- "Yeah, I know what you mean. But I meant, why am I here with Alice?"
XD- "Oh, that's what you meant. Sorry, I'm not nearly as intelligent as you, Lauren. You're here because, though I am funny, I'm also old, and since you're young and really funny, which makes you superior, the band figured that you should come."
Me- "That's cool. Let's see, what other burning questions are on the boards... What do you think of the new 5 dollar bills?"
XD- "Man, they suck! I can't wait until we convert to the Moolah. Have you heard about that?"
Me- "Yeah, I have. I think it'll be great. Umm... What is 1 to the -95/4th power?"
    XD- "2?"
Me- "No, 1, youth triumphs again. What about 1 to the 72/9923e th power?"
    XD- "E squared?"
Me- "This is just proving how superior I am to you, Baldy. 1 again. Let's stop with my showing off of simple math and move back to the burning Alice-related issues. There's a theory that I hear frequently on the boards about Alice being a bunch of robots built by the government to amass a giant fan base and then use it to crush the Soviet Union. However, at the time of the recording of Iron Gland, which they planned on using to carry subliminal messages about the attack, the USSR was pretty much done. So they went ahead and let the robots do their thing. Is this theory right?"
XD- "I don't think I should talk about that."
    Me- "Suspicious answer."
XD- "... Will thinks Ronnie James Dio is hot!"
Me- "Oddly, that seems like a trick to distract me from my previous question, but I'll go with it. Would you like to elaborate?"
XD- *waves hand in Jedi fashion* "On what?"
Me- "On how you got your answer to that math problem I asked, of course."
XD- "Oh, I guessed. I'm sick of answerting questions."
Me- "Think they're done playing Madden yet? Oh wait that's a question, sorry. I'll just head back now."
