I feel the need to talk about the site and it's members, like the thing says, so be prepared for one of the few moments I'll won't be sarcastic. Everyone on here is amazing. Being on these boards, and talking to other people who like the same music as me... It's a really cool thing, since I don't get much of that in 'real life'. I mean, I look forward to logging on every night and getting to talk with everyone. I can't get over how awesome AiC's fans are, I guess they take after the band. Lame, eh? But it's true. Really weak following line, there, very unoriginal. Whatever... What I'm trying to get out is, this board is such an accepting place. Some forums, noobs get made fun of, and you get flamed off, or everyone is so insanely fake you can't take it for more than a few months. I didn't really think I was going to be on here very long, but then I started getting to know you, and... I saw it in one of the threads that some peoples' new year's resolutions were to stay off the boards more... Maybe it's just me and my lack of a life, but I'd like to be on more, this place is great.

I feel the same way! Stay off the boards more?? Psshhh, why? I even log on at work!

Oh, don't give my resolutions any further thought.  I have never kept one yet!!!  Here I am-- on again!!!  I have 3 IEPS to write this AM too!!  I am just someone who harbors guilt.  This is my only addiction, so why the hell do I feel guilty about it?

I am not on any other board either.  I did join JFC's and CWTF's, but I haven't posted anything yet.

But, yes, dear Creep.  I feel the same way about the comaraderie on this board.  I will post something personal, and think why the hell did I say that?!  I can be very honest on here without being crucificed!  And I find myself throughout the day thinking about some of you guys!  Which is good because it takes my mind off some of the members of this band. . . .

I hope to someday meet some of you for real!!  Maybe the guys can host a meet and greet for regular/addicted boardies!!!

There's actually not much I can add on this subject - you guys know how I feel! 

I love this board so much because of this great band and because of all of you!  I so hope to meet up with some of you great friends I've made here.  I plan on it!  Maybe we will get our chance later this year with a headlining tour as motivation.   

I've gotten really close to some of you - you know who you are - and believe I've made lifelong friends. 

Creep, I agree with you - Alice fans are a group of really cool people, and I absolutely believe it has to do with this great band in a way, too.  There's nothing shallow about these guys, their music or their fans.  I'm proud of our "family"!!!!!!

I'm just glad there are people as crazy about this band and type of music I am.  NO people I know have a real connection with the message of a songs lyrics and being able to relate to the singers feelings.  You dont have too, but if your all alone in that respect, this is where you find yourself.  I'm fortunate enough to have a few friends who know some songs and have accompanied me to their three shows last year, but none who enjoy picking them apart and seeing how they relate to other types of people.

Every Alice show I've ever been to has made me so sad, only because I have the hardest time finding anyone to go with me. Not because going to the show actually makes me sad. Anything but!! :)

It just frustrates me that I can't connect with any of my friends on music. It seems like such an important thing to connect about. They all like different stuff. Some of them will come with me, but they just don't love the band like I do. It really feels necessary to come here and talk to people who love the band because you're right Creep, it just doesn't happen enough in real life.

And yes, all of you boardies rock!!!!!!! There is great respect and humor here when we avoid the controversial threads. I think the attitude of the band has a lot to do with the fans they attract. They're all awesome, goofy, down to earth guys who are passionate about their craft. Even with some money and success I feel like they kept their feet on the ground and that's saying a lot about what good people they are.

These boards are so awesome that we got a cynical teenager to post a sappy heartfelt message!!! Hahaha just kidding Creep! :-D
