You know....... I have no idea.  I have thought so much about this.  Like is blue really BLUE?  I mean, is it really just one thing - the same to everyone, or have we just memorized what blue looks like to us?  Or in this case, does chicken taste the same or have we just memorized what it is to us so that we recognize it when we taste it?  There's no way to know....
