I thought you might be!  Hopefully this means your show will go on.

Scott is human. I'd say he's accomplished a lot more than many who DON'T have a drug/alcohol problem.

^Zactly Kim.  Rifi, it has nothing to do w/getting your "head screwed on straight".  Unless you have ever had a problem w/drugs or alcohol it's very difficult to understand why those who have get into the trouble they do.

The last time I saw this band was at the 2.0 Rolling Rock Town Fair 8/4/01 when they performed with The Deftones, Incubus, Staind, Tantric, Oleander and Live. They really put on a good performance, most of which was recorded for a Pay Per View event. There is a good portion of this show up on YouTube. Kind of funny to see swarms of fans congregate in Pennsyvania farm country.

I wish Scott all the best in  remaining sober and out of trouble with the law. He has a tendency to veer off the path sharply on occasion.

RIP Layne. The music lives on..........

.....I just watched the clips on Blab, and with the exception of forgetting a few lyrics, they sounded pretty good......I saw their show in LA (2000 or 2001, somewhere around that time) & I thought they are better live than recorded, and that's pretty amazing for any band to pull off......

Oh dear lord! Scot Weiland's voice has deteriorated worse then Chris Cornell's! This sucks. I hate it when singer like that loose it but keep try and reach those notes...do a Robert Plant and reinvent yourself!

I was at the 1st reunion show in Columbus and it was STELLAR.  Perfect vibe, perfect setlist, soooo much fun.  You guys HAVE to hear the bootleg circulating, it came out awesome.  I'm going again on the 31st in NJ.  Can't wait!  DO NOT miss this tour.

Whoever says scott sounds bad did NOT hear it in person, I thought the mix on Kimmel was shit, it's not Scott.  Listen to Lady Picture Show or Trippin'.  And the band sounds great.  Sure, there are some missteps but it's been a LONG time, they'll shake it out.

    Re: Stone Temple Pilots

Sorry, but if you listen to his voice back in the day and compare it to now and don't notice any deterioration, then you are deaf! It's the exact reason I wouldn't want Chris Cornell reforming Soundgarden...he wouldn't be able to do the songs justice!

When was the last time you saw either Scott or Chris live?  LIVE.  Not on TV, bootleg, video...I saw CC last summer.  He was AMAZING.  As was Scott.  LIVE.

Unless you've seen them both live lately, I don't really think you can make a judgment because the recordings don't do it justice.  I have vids from CC and a bootleg of STP from Rock on the Range, and as good as they sound on them, live was still better.   If you saw them both live in the past year, then I guess your opinion just differs from mine.  Time marches on, people change, voices change but I still think they sound great.

    Re: Stone Temple Pilots

Sure, Scotts voice has lost the power it once had.  However, hes not 24 anymore and neither is cornell.  When I go to a concert, I'm there to see the songs I love performed live and the men who wrote them in person.   I'm singing so loud and am in my own world, I could give a shit how the band sounds.  Its only so often you can see a band perform their songs live.

I thought Scotts vocals on Libertad were some of his best.  Gravedancer and Last fight were awesome.  My favorite vocals would have to be on Silvergun Superman and Glide with STP.

Now on to Velvet Revolver.  Like Alice, it wont matter who they pick.  Like Alice, Jerry and Slash are the true frontmen of the band.

I saw these guys last Monday 5/20 in Cleveland.  What an amazing show.  It was the best show I have been to in a long long time.  I have to say this being the 8th time I have seen them.  I can honestly say Scott's voice has not deteriorated.  He sounded just as good as the other times I have seen him.  He also has such an awesome stage prescence.  It was definetly worth every penny I spent on it.  They played every song you could imagine. It was absolutely amazing.  I am hoping they come back again.

Agreed. I saw them for the first time last night with my dad and it was an amazing show. They sounding really fucking great in the Chevy Theatre. I never saw them before, but Scott's voice still sounds strong to me, as opposed to on the albums. The only time his voice sounds weird, was when he was talking in between songs. The set list was really really awesome, - Still Remains. For their last song, Trippin...., they brought out 2 kids and they were rocking out of stage throughout the song, they'll have something to talk about for the rest of their lives. All 4 of them put on a rocking show though, and I can't wait to see them again tonight. I'm really hoping that they throw in Still Remains and Meat Plow.
