    Coma:

That's gay they didn't allow cameras in. The Megadeth date I went to you could, but I forgot to bring mine. But yeah, it definitly was a sick show, I see your date had the same setlist as mine. Chris is an amazing addition to Megadeth alsoSmile

Yes, I was so excited to see the chemistry with Chris in the band. I was very impressed. The performance was absolutely amazing.

Thanks Sludgie, LOL yeah I will always have the memory..and boy what a memory it will be. The day didn't start off to well. In true "Sarie fashion"..I got half way to the venue and realized I left my tickets at home. Ah. So I had to go home and get them. I ended up missing half the bands [which didn't bother me too much because I wasn't a fan of them] ..But yes! It was a good night.

    Re: Blog:SARIEINCHAINS

Mmm venting. So I got a phone call last night that my grandmother is in the hospital. It turns out that the treatment she had before for her cancer never did anything, not even temporarily as the doctors lead us to believe. They say she will have to start Chemotheraphy soon and she will have to wear a Colostomy bag for the remainder of her life. She has been battling rectal cancer for years now. Now, some would be optimistic and be happy that atleast they have a chance to continue existing no matter how shitty the circumstance. But, my grandmother flat our refuses and says she would rather let her self die then go through alot of the treatment. I don't blame her but it's putting a lot of stress on the family. On top of that, my aunt and my uncle live with my grandmother [because they are complete failures when it comes to life] so if anything happens to her, then they're lives are going to be turned upside down too. I don't know what will come of this..

So I get this news..and I'm already horribly ill. Today, I really can't move with the exception of my fingers. I have a lovely sinus infection and I'm basically mute because I have no voice what so ever.

Then, I found out that Type O postponed the show I was going to see (Which I was really looking forward to) and I have finals coming up now and loads of papers/deadlines..

    Neutral

excuse my bitching..this week just really sucks. apparently i enjoyed myself too much at the Megadeth show..so the universe wants to get back at me with a shitty week.

Sorry to hear about your family problems, but it seems like you've got things under control now. Cancer's a bitch...lost my grandfather to it a few years back, and he had the same philosophy it sounds like your grandmother has. Sometimes the cure seems worse than the disease. Hang in there and be strong.

Well, there are many aspects. Thats kind of a broad question and to some it's even a matter of opinion. I'm not sure if I'm interpreting that the correct way. If you can clearify for me what you mean..I'll give you some answers Wink

    Re: Blog:SARIEINCHAINS

If you were to walk in a tattoo shop that also offers body modifications, what would the customer have on the menu to select from?

Is this like big ear ring holes? I have seen some people actually implant things under their skin that gives them bumps like a reptile, I guess that would be a body modification. Do people have, like toes removed, or ribs removed? Does it include scarring?

Dunno. Kind of a general question because I am not quite sure what  else falls in to this category.

    LOL

    Funny questions.......

Now I'm curious as to the answers!

I've also seen people who are into really modifying their body.. beyond just tattoos and piercings, like the one who is trying to look like a cat... and another who's trying to look like a lizard....

Body modification is a spectrum of possibilities. People often forget that anything you do to alter your body can be considered modification. This ranges from dying your hair to piercings/tattoos..and even more extreme things. It's all body modification.

What you have to select from at a shop just depends on what their specialties are and what laws they are bound by. Some things are legal in some places while others are not. Also, alot of shops in bigger places have alot more to offer because they have a diverse group of customers.

Shops can offer anything from piercings/tattoos..to scarification..suspensions..dermal punching..it really depends. I've even been hearing about the eyeball tattooing craze. LOL Yes, they can even do implants. Alot of the more extreme procedures require a medical liscense.

As far as the big ear holes, unless the person gets them scalpelled..those holes start out the size of a regular ear piercing. The process of stretching is a journey for the wearer and usually a sign of dedication or spirituality. So thats not done in one day, usually. But alot of shops will offer help stretching for those customers who would rather someone else help them with it.

Your correct aswell..there are people do amputate body parts but I don't believe that takes place at the actual shop. As I've said before..alot of things (especially in the US) are considered illegal. But amputation is definately not uncommon.

Body modification is truely fascinating because like I said before it's a giant spectrum. Someone is always pushing the limits. Like Fakir Musafar back in his day, Jim Ward, the Lizard Man, Noman Pan, and Stalking Cat, Enigma..Steve Haworth..along with many many others. I think they have all made amazing contributions and opened alot of people's eyes.

I find it so beautiful to see that we are evolving and experimenting with our bodies. I think since I've started going further down the body modification path..I've found a deeper sense of self.

I look forward to the day when I can continue to explore different procedures without having to deal with legal restrictions.
