Protection of Gear on the road

From one gear whore to the next...

Is there alot of gear replacements that happen for the band while on the road?  I always see water bottles and other miscellaneous garbage getting chucked a 4x12 cabs, amps and some people's faces (ouch!).  Does that ever anger some of the guys if they loose or get a favorite piece of gear damaged?

Surprisingly nothing has been trashed so far. Jerry broke a guitar neck a few months back, but that's been it as far as I know. Mike spills water on everything, but the cabinets & amps are pretty durable (thank God).
