Re: I will never meet Slash...
Thanks girls! I'm still dying!!! But it was def worth it. I've been lucky enough to have seen 'em 5 times and there wasn't one bad show, but Weds was without a doubt the best! My friend's due back, so I'll find out how his interviews went - I'm excited for him to live in Boston (not Phili lol). We won't sort out girly rock trip out til at least late August probably as we like to see who's got shows lined up first so we can plan our route. But by the looks of it we'll be doing the east coast Lynda without a doubt when Alice hit the road again, I'll be in NYC and Bost and NJ... and wherever else I can afford to go to, and you and I will be front row making eyes at our man

Re: I will never meet Slash...
I've always said that my best character trait is empathy, it seems I can put myself in people's situations far too readliy and it is often to my detriment. But still I say to anyone: if you need me I'm here and I will do my best to see your point of view and that of the world at large and hopefully give you some perspective. The past week I have been stricken with heartbreaking sorrow and for no apparent reason. I've been dealing with my friend's broken heart and it has hurt & shocked me to watch the outpouring of pain and grief, I dunno why, but it's always harder to see a man go through it. But anyway, that's not the cause. I would have assumed I was up the duff had I not got my monthly curse, so that's a relief - pregnant in Vegas? NO THANKS! So what can it be I keep asking myself? And last night when I went and caught up with what The Angels have been up to, it seemed so many of them have been feeling some sort of pain and anguish too (btw my mate is also a Cancerian, which I know many of the Angels are too - coincidence? I think not!). I think that somehow I've reconnected to the unvierse and through it's power I'm having sympathy sorrows. Does that sound mental?? I've not told my hubby this 'cos I don't think I could bear the look of scorn on his face that he would not be able to stop, so I had to tell someone! You guys just lucked out I've begun to think recently that I seem to be having slight psychic tendancies (I told Gav that and he told me I was talking bollocks ). Nothing major, just knowing what song will come on the radio next or know that someone is about to call me & why or if a friend is upset/jumping for joy somewhere. I've been saying to my husband that I fear I'm spreading myself too thinly at the moment - I've been making promises to people that I'm finding it difficult to keep - but I think the fact that I'm tuning into to more and more people's psyches might have something to do with it. Anyway enough of that crazy hippie talk, lets talk about the weather! Ha not really, although I must fund out what to expect in Seattle TOMORROW! Shit I can't believe it's come round so fast. I'm gonna hug my cousin for the first time in 18 months and hug Angel Lizzie for the first time ever! I'm excited about being in my favourite city again and with the only family I have. Family is something I've never really had a chance to have and it's sods law that as soon as I have some they're a 10 hour flight away! We met when we 4 when she came over here, but that was it really. Then in 2005 Gav and I decided we wanted to go to The States. Of course 1st on my wish list was Seattle, so I thought hey call up the family and see what they're like. I'm so glad I did! Tam, my cousin is just like me and Chad, her husband is just like Gav - it's scary, but it's awesome and I thank God for allowing me to have some blood to connect with at last. 'K I'm gonna do some work now - meh! Then I'm gonna finish my packing. Baci!

Re: I will never meet Slash...
I too have very strong psychic tendencies that freak me out sometimes... I've always had it and my family has come to accept it - it used to freak them out, too... but don't think you're crazy! Just try to go with it and accept it and learn from it. Have a fun trip to Seattle and give Lizzie a hug for us, too!

Sleepless in Seattle.. Las Vegas and probably LA too - meh!
Hey up Alice fans! Well I'm on my travels, but let me tell you this won't be a trip that will go down in history; one or more of us is off the boil every night and wants an early night. ROCK N ROOOOOLLLLL.... not! Seattle, was mostly freezing, windy and cold and I didn't sleep at
all whilst I was there! Lizzie however, was wonderful and I tell you
girls, in person she looks at least 10 years younger than her real
age!!! We did some touristy things together when the sun was thankfully
shining and had lunch when my friends made me out to be a drunken lush
- cheers fuckers - not entirely wrong, but not a good impression I
suspect - so sorry Lizzie if you think I'm an alky, I'm not, but the
wine was lovely LOL. I went to The hallowed ground of The
Central, where our boys played many moons ago and I could not get over
the size of the stage - it was teeny tiny!!!! We saw a coupel of
really good bands there, but I tell you what, anyone who is slightly
germaphobic stay away - it stank like a sewer and the ladies loo was
cess pit. Just as well I'm used to camping for 4 days at rock
festivals so I could handle it. LOL. Other than that I hung out with
my family and did the usual: Space Needle, EMP, Snoqualmie Falls, Pike
Place and of course the obligitory English person shopping like a demon
with our strong £.
So here I am in Vegas, I've played
roullette and my favourite slot machine, had plenty of cocktails (no I
promise I'm not a lush!!! LOL) and not done anywhere near enough
shopping yet - tomorrow I tells ya, will be when the plastic begins to
melt! They've shut the Rainbow Bar & Grill which has pissed me off
and we went all the way over to Hard Rock to pick up our will call
tickets for Muddy Puddle only to be be told that we can't until after
4.00pm tomorrow - well that was a waste of $20 in cabs - grrrrrr.. Thanks
for all your messages & comments here and there Angels. If I
haven't replied yet, I will soon. Lynda you can expect a message in
several seconds though. Love to you all - bored and tired and
sick of loud R&B ( and believe it or not) Rock music, that said
they are playing Rage Against My Homework - Killing In The Name of
right now, but still I need SLEEEEEEPPPPPP!!!!! Sorry rambling again... Hugs and beers, or wine... or cocktails - no I'm NOT an alky - honest!! xxxx
PS Tiziana - you're next my dear and I will def have my drinking hat on then ;-) ciao!

Re: Sleepless in Seattle.. Las Vegas and probably LA too - meh!
It was so cool meeting-up with you, Fi! And no, I don't think you're an alky ~ I think it's awesome how much you like to have fun!!! We all need more of that attitude, and we really all need to be acting it out more often! Next time I'm going to make you do more of the boring stuff that's my excuse for fun, and I'll count on you to liven it up for me! I'm going to drag you off to walk along Alki whether you think you want to or not, and then we can go discover the U-district together (haven't been there since college years, but I know I loved it then). I had a great time meeting Gav and your friends, they're a kick, but I'm kidnapping you away from anyone who doesn't want to come with! See, I'm already planning your next trip. You have to come back and see your cousin again soon anyway. Those babies are going to grow so fast, and you don't want to miss it all! Catch up on a little sleep so you have more energy for the partying, and have a blast for the rest of your holiday... Love ya, Lizzie

Re: Sleepless in Seattle.. Las Vegas and probably LA too - meh!
Oh yeah, almost forgot... Thanks for the compliment Fi, that was so sweet! Did I go-on about how little I care for this getting older business, or did your intuitive nature just clue you in? I've been viewing the aging process with utter distaste for the last few yrs now. This new-found vanity is shameless, I'll admit it ~ saying that I look younger (out-loud and in public, too) is about the happiest thing you can do for me!!! And Punky, I want to meet you too! So when are you coming over? If nothing else, I'll be traveling your way during the next tour...

FlutterGrrrl: Willpower - how do you find it? I have none. "Go on, have a dessert/chip/drink..." I can play hard to get once, maybe twice, but then I cave. I have no willpower at all!
You go day to day, or hour to hour, or minute by minute. Whatever the situation deems appropriate.
