Just like I got it the four times I saw Godhack.
Seriously though, Sully Erna and acoustic do not belong together in any situation.

 

Anyway, I'm a bit distraught because I have to cancel my next two shows. So Dream Theater, Opeth, and Candlemass aren't happening. This month of awesomeness just got much less awesome. I don't really mind missing DT and Opeth, since I've seen each of them several times. But I really wanted to see Candlemass. Oh well.

I would have liked to have seen Metallica a couple of years ago (haven't seen them in many years) but Fraudsmack opened for them and I refused to give them a penny of my money....

I just found out that Foxboro Hot Tubs are playing a small club here in Little Rock Monday night... I am slightly curious enough that I might check it out.

I've given this explanation somewhere before, but here it goes again: once @ Woodstock, once @ Ozzfest, once because my friends were going--plus Jim Rose was opening and I wanted to see that--and once opening for Metallica.

I think I may have said this too, but the sad part about that show is that Godsmack's duel drum solo was the best part of the entire concert, including Metallica. Not that the drum solo was amazing (although they did play part of YYZ), but that's just how lousy Metallica is nowadays.

Kyle, is that one of the shows that Lol Tolhurst is playing with them?  The original drummer...very cool dude...Eric Bradley is working with him and Cindy Levinson as "Levinhurst" and they played Portland last year...hung out with then for awhile after the show...which reminds me, I need to upload that vid to youtube for Lol...damn I suck! 

Anyway, did you happen to catch Lol and Michael Dempsey's interview on 94.9 this past Sunday?  I missed it...

hey sugar...i didn’t hear that interview. maybe it’s posted on the 94.9 website. i’ll check it out. i’m not sure if tolhurst is playing with them. i know that he lives is ca (either tarzana or temecula) and i read that he is going to be at some of the southern ca shows. the article i read didn’t specifically say he was playing...but you never know. that would be nice!
