Greatest team of all time, dynasty, etc. Hearing people compare them to the 1970's Steelers is like hearing the hype that Godsmack is the next AIC.

    Vultures, liars, thieves.

Atleast the 19-0 shirts went to good use.

From Pittsburgh, I just wanted to give proper closing summary for the Patriots 2007 season.

    Chapter closed.

okay this is seriously a non-biased opinion but i beleive that the pats of this decade (particularly the 08' team) are better than the 70's steelers. maybe they're not as dominant but i beleive they're better. just because i beleive today's athlete's are better than those back then. of course i wasn't alive back then so what do i know. but i'm not so sure that the "steel curtain" could defend the pats offense when they spread em out. just my opinion.

    Re: Its a beautiful thing

The 2007 Pats had a great season but did have a few shaky games, and as you know, in the final analysis, great teams finish the job.

Bradys offense would be an interesting test against the Steel Curtain.

Do not forget that the Patriots defense would also be dealing with a pretty potent Steelers offense too( including Bradshaw, Swann, Stallworth, Bleier, Franco) .

I am sure that have matched these squads up on some of those fantasy football games.

Chuck Noll would also be an X factor, he was a much better coach than Bill Cowher.

    Re: Its a beautiful thing

i will say noll is one of the most underrated coaches ever. you never hear his name mentiones with the great ones.

well i think the steelers offense was dependable but not necessarily potent. once again i wasn't there so all i have is nfl films n shit to back up my theory. of course the pats defense wasn't it's strongpoint. it was pretty good but had an aging LB corp and the secondary wasn't that great.

last year's pats team was great but they weren't one of the greats, simply cause they couldn't finish the job. i mean for people to say they're still the greatest team ever, or even in the top 10 is ridiculous. the greatest teams are chmpions.
