    I'm so exited to see what William brings to the table. In a way Layne is living through Jerry, Mike and Sean and everyone that he has ever effected and that includes the fans. Layne is here with everyone and I know he is in the studio with the boys.

    I just read Baldy's comments whilst Sea Of Sorrow was blasting out my speakers - god what a feeling im so excited!!! I had a horrible dream the other night, it was an interview with the band and Jerry was saying "the grunge sound is dead we are not making any new music!'  but this news has layed that dream to rest Big Smile

    The second half of 2008 is going to be a good time for music. Something new is going to happen that will make it uncool for bands to wear ties and play twangy guitars. That shit has been going on long enough for it to become uncool and the backlash is near. Well, that's the theory anyway. If it doesn't happen, I can still look forward to this new album and even though I'm only a half-fan, the new Metallica one as well.

    I'm excited to hear the new Metallica, although I have never been a real big fan of them, more a casual listener that respects what they have done... But with Rick Rubin producing, I'm willing to bet it will be a badass album. Also another thought... maybe Lars will finally get his Metallica/Alice In Chains tour 15+ years in the making.
    That's how you become great, man, hang your balls out there.

    I am seeing Jerry (and hopfully some others from Alice) at the Road Recovery benefit on Thursday, 4/17/08. I am going to ask how the recordings are going and how excited the Alice community is about it.
