Now, I understand and acknowledge that its really great the band is allowing us fans to get close and actually win stuff by searching and winning swag bucks..
However I wanted to voice my opinion, and I also know that several other board members (that replied to a thread) agree with me in what I'm about to put forward...

I have been signed up for the AIC search for about 2-3 weeks now, and I have won 30 swag bucks so far..
Thats 10 a week.
Now I realise if I was online all the time and searching alot, I could possibly get alot more than 10 a week, however, theres alot of other users and I can't be online 24/7...
I also noticed that some of the prizes have been lowered in how many swags are needed to get them.
Its still very hard!
How long is this search going to be around for?
I just wondered if its possible to perhaps do something about how much the prizes are going for...
If I wanted the PS3 or even the amazing I-pod I'd have to be doing this for years and years...
I'm not saying, make it simple, as everyone would be winning top prizes, but 3000 or more swag bucks is abit OTT...

Ive been on for a week and have gotten 7 so far.  I want that autographed shirt for 400, hell, Id pay 400$$ for it.  I tried to find a way to search at a perfect time but cant get it.  I , too would like to know how long this will go on for.

There's no time limit on the Search & Win page/Swag Store. While it is run by an outside company, we hope that it will be around for as long as this site is around.

Thats all very well, and sure its a challenge, thats the point..its not gonna be easy..
But its impossible..lol..truthfully.
How long has this feature been around for so far?
And who has won a PS3 or flat screen tv etc.?

Sure we can get friends to help, but its still not gonna help too much..

In perspective, to win a 9000 point item, I'd need to be searching for a few years....

This feature has been around for just over a month. The company behind it approached us and we thought it might be a fun thing to add to the site. Most people use Google anyway so why not offer a feature that lets people search and win points that can be used towards stuff like gift cards and Alice merch.

The Search and Win page is run by an external company so AliceInChains.com does have minimal control over it but we have been told that there are no plans for it to change dramatically or go away any time soon.

Ok, ok...thats good news about it not being on a limited time constraint as PunkyLunky said, and I really enjoy using the feature, I'm not against it, I always use it to search and its also abit of fun.

I just thought and I know others did, that it really is difficult to get anywhere, and the point of competitions or prize giveaways is that people should be winning, some of that stuff is at a high price, and perhaps could be brought down (as I know some has been already)...

But anyway, thanks for your replies, and your information!
