.....Sean's sense of humor was really missed during the Deg Trip tour......it just wasn't the same without him around to tell everyone to pay attention to him (that's a joke, by the way)......

His interviews really show off his sense of humor. I'd still loved to have been a fly on the wall during the recording of Love Song....kiss the fuckin' midgeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! hahaha

But seriously ~ the fact that he went out & played all these shows recently when he was sick, just goes to show ya how cool he really is.....

This is Sean's time to shine.....

For real. I could not believe he was sick after having watched him perform in May in Boston. He stepped up to the mike at the end of the show to thank the crowd for helping him get through the concert because he had pneumonia. Amazing.

Sean can roxxorz my boxxorz any day.

Great drummer, minimalistic style that suits AIC like none other would.

Also, Love Song was the best song ever written.lol

Not to mention that Jerry once said that Sean was the first one to tell him if something sucked, or if Jerry thought it sucked & was ready to dump the idea Sean would be the one to tell him to keep working on it......so his input probably gave us a few Cantrell riffs or songs, too......

    Re: Sean Kinney

He's such a fuckin perfect fit for the band. He's part of that cohesiveness that makes them what they are. He gives them that drive, and his parts are interesting. He always seems to know exactly what to play at the right moments to compliment the song just right. It's never showy, but serves the song just right. Unplugged I think really showed how insanely good a drummer he is, the way he changes stuff up, his feel, everything. Whenever I try out a drummer, they have to be able to play AIC and Smashing Pumpkins. To me Kinney, Jimmy Chamberlain, and Josh Freese are the best around as far as rock drummers are concerned.

Sean is underappreciated.  Did you see him on Decades Rock LIve with Heart.  He was playing, smoking and raising his lighter all in perfect time.  Loved it.  I would have loved it if they had shown the entire AIC set.. They released the Bonnie Raitt one, so maybe we'll see this one.  Next in line would be Cyndi Lauper I think.  I only watched the Heart one.  I guess they owed Ann and Nancy a favor for the backing vocals on SAP.

Hmm?? The boys are just very good friends with Ann and Nancy. I don't think they owe them anything - just friends jammin' with other friends.

    Re: Sean Kinney

He's that great. Like someone said, he seems to always, ALWAYS know where and when to put his drums fills, theyre so great.

What i love about ALICE is...EVERYTHING!

Thats what makes them so special...everything.

Sean Kinney: A hell of a drummer, creativity, groove, rarely miss a beat and so on. He looks so Cool playing, looks like he's not paying attention sometimes, but then he goes like, that angry-METAL expression, as i saw in a lot of clips, when Layne hits those high notes.

Mike Inez/Starr: Awesome, well though bass parts, not just playing along the guitar, plus the production on all the albums really tell u : hey, WE HAVE A BASS PLAYER, AND A GOOD ONE.

Jerry Cantrell: Well, JC is JC, hes unique, he knows how to be HEAVY more than a death metal band haha. He speaks a universal language with his guitar. There's a Jerry riff for everyone, EVERYONE :D

Layne: 'The greatest singer in rock history' by Jerry Cantrel. Enough!

Thats AIC, the best band, EVER!

    Long live AIC!!!

Im glad to see this great site running smoothly! GJ guys

    Re: Sean Kinney

Interesting to hear pre-Facelift style.  Very '80's that morphed into what we know now.

    Sean rocks Devil
