    Re: BLOG: SoulDesertion 3/6/08

I have nothing interesting to say today.........this should probably be in the pessimistic topic, but I'd rather bitch and moan in here!!!!

For almost a year I have had this huge knotty thing in my lower back. It has been causing constant pain and I went to three different doctors, who told me that it was a tumor, a cyst, and muscle spasms. Their only cure was to give me painkillers and muscle relaxers. Finally I tried a new doctor who gave me x-rays of my hips and an ultrasound, both came up with nothing. Sometimes the pain goes away for a couple of months and then comes back with a vengeance. I have knots all over my back and they pull on my shoulders, especially working in retail...so yesterday I went to get a deep tissue massage and she told me that my back was the worst she'd ever experienced in a client..esp for a 26 year old. So she's doing pressure point therapy around my spine and asks if I have ever been diagnosed with scoliosis. I told her no, and she says that I have a slight curve in my spine with two discs out of place, that could be herniated. She wonders why all four docs have never given me an x-ray on my spine and says to go right away. After a year of all this shit, my massage therapist figures it out....duh!!!!!!

So today I woke up with bruises, but my back feels a lot better..........

Work sucks and I want to go home.

    End of bitch and moan.

But at least I have some idea of what might be causing the pain.

    A tumor....reeeaaally????

I guess anyone can be a doctor in the US.

    I'm not fine, fuck pretending.

    Re: BLOG: SoulDesertion 3/6/08

OMG.  Nat.  My nephew has the SAME THING.  He is miserable, can't sleep, been to multiple doctors - but HAS been diagnosed with scoliosis.  This is my nephew you have seen in the pics section that you guys commented about....

My sister finally after advice from someone off the wall, took him to a CHIROPRACTOR -- TODAY.  This is so weird that you posted this today.

Anyway - he said the same thing your mt said to you.  He has scoliosis, but not major (which we already knew), and has several discs that are twisted and out of whack.  He said he could "fix" him with only 4-5 visits.  He also does acupuncture with lasers....... I thought that was interesting...

So you should go see a chiropractor immediately.

And come back to give us a report on what he says!

    Re: BLOG: SoulDesertion 3/6/08

A Doctor actually told you you had a tumor? Did he/she bother to elaborate??Did they send you for tests?? I'm shocked! Doctors (some of them anyway!) need to be shot!

Have you been tested for scoliosis? Sorry, don't mean to stick my nose in, I just really hope you have found a actual real diagnosis now finally and can start to get it sorted out! Good luck to you. x.

    Re: BLOG: SoulDesertion 3/6/08

Sorry I didn't ever see this post luxy!

I didnt get tested for Scoliosis they just felt my spine.

I hate doctors and am so fed up I dont know what to do. But the good news is my back hasnt hurt for awhile. *hopes that doesnt jinx her*

Yeah a doctor said he thought it was probably a tumor.........or a cyst.

THOSE TWO ARE VERY DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!! I never went back to him again.

    Re: BLOG: SoulDesertion 3/6/08

    YEAH!! you’ll love it.

i know you prob know the area somewhat...but if you’re seriously thinking about moving, go check out la for a couple of days. silver lake or echo park are cool nice neighborhoods if you like living around musicians and artists and so forth. santa monica is also nice. you can live fairly close to the beach and still be close to work. the weather in santa monica is better than anywhere in the city, because the ocean breeze keeps temperatures constantly in the 70s in the summer and a little cooler in the winter. also, west hollywood is really nice...it lies between beverly hills and hollywood. the only problem with w hollywood is that there are no freeways nearby, so it's difficult to get to other parts of the city. i lived in westwood for a year mainly cause it was close to ucla. you wouldn’t want to live there. it’s very overcrowded and congested and a lot of the apartments are run down from years of college abuse (not that there’s anything wrong with thatMr Green). if you have nothing holding you back in az just do it. it’s close enough to some home for a visit. knowing what some of your interests are, it would be a good career move.

    Re: BLOG: SoulDesertion 3/6/08

    Yeah,

I lived in the valley for a bit 2 years ago...I miss it so much. I am thinking about West Hollywood or Santa Monica for sure. SM is sooo expensive though.

I always get freaked out and talk myself out of moving, but there is seriously NOTHING here holding me back. A change would do me good. I always need a bit of a push to do things like this!

    Re: BLOG: SoulDesertion 3/6/08

I was  out in Santa Monica in November, I really enjoyed my time out there. I will have to post a few pics in the travel thread. I had a friend we checked on who had just bought this two bedroom ranch for about 1.5 million, it was not super close to the shore. That house and lot would be a $55,000-$60,000 house here at best. That is some high rent district.

I say roll the dice but have a plan.

    Re: BLOG: SoulDesertion 3/6/08

    Thanks guys!

Last night I went to STP. They finished with Dead & Bloated....Favorite song ever. It was amazing....he sounded great and look phenominal. They had so much energy and looked stoked to be there. They played plush and he talked about how music was so different in the 90s and how you could walk around...so he got off the stage and walked around the venue and sang on our seats and let everyone touch him. Sooo good. Some of the pics are really blurry...
