You know sometimes when you just have those moments in life, when you feel happy to be alive? I know that most of us live in a whirlwind of stress and expectations, but every once I a while find myself thinking "Yeah, I'm one lucky bitch," and it has nothing to with my personal situation at all. Yesterday I was on the train on the way home from work (I work in Central London and live right out in one of the outer boroughs), the sun was shining and there were just a few of those gorgeous big fluffy white clouds in the sky. I could see the London skyline in the distance and I thought "wow, what a fabulously gorgeous day it's been", then No Excuses came on my MP3 player and the perfect moment was complete! I began grinning like an idiot and my fellow commuters gave me strange looks as mooned out the window at my beautiful world. Spring is springing here; new life, sunshine, blossoms... the circle of life continues and that is just precious.

250 kilometres (We don't do miles, sorry) south-east of you're current location.....it's SNOWING! But I don't mind and neither does my cat, he's 70% dark-brown and when he comes back in he's 100% white.
The last time I was in that stupid-grin-that-makes-other-people-walk-by-you-in-a-big-circle mood, was today when everything just felt like it was going smooth, nothing to do at school and just talking with friends. Nothing special but at the end of the day when I headed homeit just felt like everything was alright.............but that might just be the prozac talking.

Agreed! Such a beautiful thread. .. . "Ten thousand flowers in spring, the moon in autumn, a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter. If your mind isn't clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life." Wu-men

Ooh a blog you say? Yeah why the hell not, although I'm not sure you'll find anything about be intersting LOL. I'll see how it goes... Thanks for the words of encouragement & comments guys Deimos, where are you France, Belgium?? I bet wherever you are though your country hasn't ground to a halt in the way England does when we get a dusting of snow or more than an inch or rain or a gust of wind that blows off the old lady's hat at the bus stop. England is LAAAAAAME when it comes to coping with "extreme" weather. I kid you not, we close motorways, shut down train lines and send planes to France for the slightest bit of bad weather, all through lack of preparation. That said we are double 'ard bastards and will do you all in a fight. We may be small, but think of us Brits as that terrier that snaps at your ankles, but when he sinks his teeth into you, you sure as hell know about it I personally am a lover not a fighter though. Free hugs for everyone!!!

This is our national anthem , if you recognise it your okay in my book. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzOzUHYwPms (hyperlink doesn't work , just copy/paste it plz)
And trust me, I know about your crappy climate. I've been to GB for two weeks (Scotland, England & Wales) and not a single rainless day. Except from that and some cultural differences. (steering wheel on the right, lol) and the fact that over there I'm too young to drink (again) it's a great country. But then again, if you speak the language every country is a great country, especially the French are real D*cks when it comes to foreigners not speaking ze Francais.

To quote from the song Satan's Bed, from PearlJam, Vitalogy......" I shit and I stink, I'm real join the club,, I stop and talk but I'm already in love" There's nothing like a good BM, exspecialy when the world has got you so stressed out you havn't done it for a weak. That's how I spell relief. Ah yes the simple pleasures of life. I like this thread, thanks for the desciptive stories of your peacefull day. I have not been out of the U.S, exept for south America, but as I was reading your stories I got a good visual of what it might be like. I never understood why ppl always wine about the weather or the change of seasons. I live in Iowa, We have some of the coldest winters, and some of the hottest muggiest sumers. The rest of the time here you just don't know what the weather may do. We have had alot of 60-70 degree days here, but you can't get to excited and run out in shorts the next morning it may be 5 degrees. It makes for an interesting newscast, We got some stressed out weather man around here. I like it this way and I wouldn't change a thing. Do you know how many ppl of the world never seen snow before?. Everybody should have a chance to make a snowman or snow fort or sleding or just letting the snowflakes fall on your tounge. I love smell of spring here, and would never give up the the colors of the change of fall. That's just me I love it all. Awsome thread Flutter ...Travis

Bwahaha Kim, my mom is an RN and it was always "BM" at our house, never poop, or any other things moms say to little kids.
Ha! Have you ever seen Robin Hood: Men in Tights? Richard Lewis plays Prince John and there's a scene...can't remember it verbatim, but, something about him being asked how his morning was...lol...said "it's been great, just had a good BM, blah, blah." Cracked the shit out of me. Pun intended.

KashmirKim: "I'm from Holland, where tha fuck you from?" ...gonna have this stuck in my head all day.
Yup me too - thanks Dubois *shakes fist* The company I work has it's headquarters in Den Haag, so I know a few Dutch people - I've even been there!! Rotterdam airport is awesome!! I've been to Amsterdam once too, I loved it and really should go back soon! KashmirKim:

Yep we get 'em all the time (ok maybe not ice storms and maybe not all the time ) but yep a bit too much rain here and shit just shuts down! total ninnies. We had an earthquake last week - now THAT was exciting! Travis my dear, you must understand something about us British: Our favourite topic of conversation is the weather, and you will also find that all we do is moan about it. "It's too hot" 'cos we don't have a/c in our homes. "It's too cold" - cos I don't have decent heating in mine. "I wish the sun would shine" and when it does we go back to number 1. I have another brilliant bit of Britishness for you. The Royal Mail provide a track your parcel/letter online service for their recorded deliveries - nothing out of the ordinary there I hear you say... but this one is different. Once you've entered your tracking number, you are kindly informed that "your parcel cannot be tracked until it has arrived at it's destination and has been signed for". How bloody pointless is that????
