Hey don't you know we read EVERY dang post here??? lol

I think its a kickass idea...and I think admin should suggest they maybe incorporate a USO thing into their next tour, in support of their next record...whatcha think admin?  I think that would rock!!!  We never got any entertainment where we were at during desert storm :( but I think the USO is amazing for what they've done over the years...welcome by the way and hopefully something will come of your suggestion!  Oh, and hey...from one servicewoman to another  (retired now), many thanks for the hard work you and your fellow soldiers and sailors are doing!!! You rock...and deserve to have Alice rock YOU!

Just curious... 

What are your thoughts on the upcoming war with Iran? 

Did you see the Joint Chief spoke out about it being a terrible idea and then he "retired" 4 hours later.

It's bizarre that he ever did the interview and then almost instantly flip flopped his story into being a Bush supporter in regards to Iran.

I had heard a big buzz in DC when he was given the job. It's very unusual that the job would ever go to someone in the Navy but the plan was to use the Navy almost exclusively in the early stages launching attacks from the Gulf of Oman and the IO.  

His sudden retirement reminds me of General Shinseki prior to Iraq.

Jerry has done some shows with Vampyres for the military. I'd think it would be something William and Mike would really love to do as well. So I'd think it would make sense. I know the guys don't really support the War but do appreciate the Troops.

I'll say it again...I think its a GREAT idea...supporting the troops and supporting the war are two entirely different things...and I know the troops really appreciated the show the Cardboard Vampyres did at McChord...hopefully they can combine such a tour with this year's tour!!??

exactly....reagardless of how you feel we need to take care of our troops. the most heartbreaking part of this are the people who come back alive but handicapped and the fucking gov't isn't taking care of them. it makes me sick!

this is the main reason i'm against the war (like most). our guys are dying for an unjust war. i hate hearing people compare this war to vietnam in order to try to justify it. they say " hey we haven't lost nearly as much guys as we lost in nam." yeah, tell that to a widow who lost her husband, a child who lost their father/mother.

anyways, yes these people deserve a treat or two and there should be more bands doing uso tours.
