I probably won't read most people's blogs unless they have some cool stuff in em (like Rif's).

But sure. 

Anyway, I shall talk about things I like and am interested in and I will use it to promote my friends' bands and all that kinda jazz.

Firstly, listen to Ava Ria.
They are a mix of styles, going from metal to funk and lots of stuff in between.

Composed of four parts,

Michael (Mick,Gick,Frodo) Grace on guitar and VOX!!!(giving it sox)
He's some man for a session, as are all the bayiz.

Mick

Ishmale (Real Name; Sean  Flynn)
Monster on the bass, plays the same bass as Dream Theatre's John Myong. Massive Theatre fan and it shows in the progressiveness in some of thier songs ( as well as a penchant for cheese here and there!)

Young Andrew on the G-tar as well. Some man for a solo...and anything to do with the guitar. You really have to see him live to see how good he is. Loves Rory Gallagher and it shows. Billi Whiff boi!

Paul O' Shea. The bands secret weapon. What a monster of a drummer. He doesn't know it but he really is. He's not a technical death metal drummer, he's a drummer's drummer. A Matt Cameron if I was to compare him. The little short hand fills, ryhtmic illusions and cymbal work (the end of 'Ever The Optimist'...the crash bit...sex through music boi).

All childhood friends, decided to form a band about a year and a half ago. I've said it about them before, but please listen to their stuff and spread the word because they are one of the most exciting bands around today.

Live they fucking kick the shit out of you and you just want more!

No no no no...I didn't mean it like that really....I like lots of people. But I grew up on the Jerry boards and got to know people from there before I started to drift away from the whole board thing.

Lotsa cool people don't come on this anymore because it's lost the whole cool little community vibe. There's someone posting that they love Layne OMG William shouldn't be signing because he's got an afro and he's not Layne maaaaaann etc etf'nc zzzzzzzzz....

Just listen to Ava Ria. They have a Myspace too if you wanna download their stuff. I highly recommend you use high fidelity speakers up loud to listen to the lads because shitty laptop speakers will not do it justice. Failing that, use headphones.
