Wow, amazing! Thanks for posting this!! Yes, I agree... William ROCKS! I'm so jealous of those of you who got to see I Stay Away live!

Thank you for uploading I Stay Away. Had I not found a recording, I'd have been liable to kill myself. Also, thanks for upping on Mediafire. ;)

naturegirl:....and yeah, Sean sounds absolutely friggen amazing.....I had to say that, too....
Absolutely friggin amazing!! I never realized just how good he was until, during Kashmir, it felt like John Bonham rose from the dead just for those few minutes....there is an entire (new) thread devoted to Sean and the noticeable lack of drum solos and how it would be great to see that. Oh yeah, I dont think you can tell from the YouTube video, but Mike Inez is a friggin madman (in a great way...) He's like the energizer bunny!

Re: Nov 2, 2007 ~ Seattle, WA [Benaroya Hall]
ManoloGirl: WIC -- I did see that DVD option on the
back of the program, but I wasn't sure about whether it was referring
to that night's show, or whether it was some compilation/sample DVD
from various performances. I'm glad you read it that way -- you
are probably right, thanks! Sorry you didn't get to talk to Matt; he
really does seem like a authentically great (and based on where he went
to high school, we grew up pretty close together -- what a small
world!), and Taylor made me cry, which messed up my makeup , Anyway,
I agree w/you about Ann & Nancy -- I will not miss another
opportunity to see them. I can't believe how well Ann's voice has
stood the test of time...can you? I am a Robert Plant worshipper and
disciple, but I can't say that his voice has withstood as well as
Ann's. She was magnificent (even my Dutch friend who was with me, and
who mainly listens to that tecno pop Eurotrash music was blown away by
Ann). But more than anything, I'm still on an orgasmic high from
Kashmir. I had never seen William sing (p.s. -- I happen to love that
Jimmy Hendrix thing he has going on), and I confess that I was very
skeptical, and if anyone had told me in advance that they would be
covering Kashmir (let's face it, it takes some big, brass ones to cover
Zep, much less Zep's Kashmir), I would have been in painful
anticipation of a botch job. Instead I was blown out of the water and
I'm still floating in the air (I'm pretty sure my co-workers are loving it...it's very uncharacteristic of me...) p.s.
We west coast lawyers are too nice (we get eaten for lunch by our NYC
and DC counterparts), so, no, I don't get to tell the rude people to
fuck off; and believe me, I want to, at least five times a day! It so
sucks....I wish I had been born an East Coast bitch! I applaud you --
I'm definitely not nice enough to be in sales... Cheers
I
had the same thought about the DVD, MG, so I asked one of the
ladies with the Symphony Guild & she confirmed -- it'll be a DVD of
Friday's performance. I mailed my order today. :) I don't know
what I would've thought if I'd known ahead of time about Kashmir,
probably would've been excited. I've heard {seen, whatever :)} one
other cover that was amazing -- the last encore of the last date of the
last real (i.e. traveling) Lollapallooza was Kashmir. It was awesome,
but in a different way -- Maynard sang & was backed by Jane's
Addiction, Audioslave, APC, Incubus -- it was a real group effort.
Totally different mood than Friday night, but almost as good. :) Thanks to everyone who's posting the links to songs -- I'm loving re-living that night! :)

Re: Nov 2, 2007 ~ Seattle, WA [Benaroya Hall]
I thought by now someone would've posted a link to a bootlegged "Whale & Wasp" & "Sickman" from 11/02. Anyone? :)
They sounded great too (as if anything Alice plays wouldn't), & who knows how long it'll take the SG to edit that DVD?

There's
nothing like watching someone who obviously loves what they're doing.
Every time I've seen these guys their love for the music is infectious
(not to mention Mike's smile & energy -- grrrrrrrr) -- you can't
help but feel it & get happy too.
I'm not sure about drum solos (I grew up in the 70s & 80s,
so that's to be expected), but I'm all for more Sean. The man's
definitely got magnetism like a riptide -- I didn't know what to expect
backstage Friday, but wow -- I'm a writer & I have no words for it.
Someone should kick me off this thread, I can't seem to get any writing
done this week! *lol*
