yeah i'm with rev on this one.  maybe a live video chat is in order.  i don't have a webcam, but i'm in computer upgrade hell anyway, so i can add that to my list. 

and as for long distance jamming, i don't know what ever came of it, but the ceo of gibson was talking about an ethernet guitar a few years ago (2nd link is the 2nd page):

I could probably pull off a regular IM (last couple times I tried AIM didn't work though, but there was a strange one I used with my cousin that ran fine), and that's a good idea, but the video, I can't do that on shinternet. See, I just made up a new word. It resulted from a typo putting shit and internet together. Shinternet. I kind of like it. Not it, the word I mean. Yeah.

OK, I'm up for something new that might get more boardies to participate.  Even if we need to go back and forth to a different site for a little while to use other resources needed for IM and video chat.  Is Windows Live Hotmail available internationally?  Any other good ideas out there? 

Yeah..since the beginning of this thread i've been trying to think of different ways  in order to make this more "real"..I need your help though, so if you have any ideas that are for sure, just let me know and we'll see what we can do!
