    CIAO LAYNE

    here's 10 past midnight...

...officially six years since layne left us...

so hard to think that that jewel is not longer with us. one of the most powerful, yet sweet, voices of all time gone...one of the most talented lyricists gone...one of the funniest guys on earth gone...

sometimes i wonder how things would be if layne were still alive, but then i realize that's impossible to say, that maybe that was the way it was meant to be. or maybe not, it wasn't supposed to end up like that. i don't know, and guess that nobody ever will. but what we all know for sure is that he left us some great gifts, some prefect gems that will always stay with us. and i'm grateful for all of them.

ciao, little angel. hope you're having the best time ever, wherever you are.

''what was the point of living, loving, suffering

    spending all of your days

if you had to leave so soon

but i want to remember you the way you were

    thinking that you're still alive

i wanna think that you're still listening to me

and that you still smile the same way you used to''

    Through your hand
images flow making viable your tourment

    Through your mouth

    Through your heart

    Re: CIAO LAYNE

So you´re name was Layne, so you share you´re words and pain

So you thought you were alone but as you can see, we´re all alone

Nothing will change what you done, what you said, what you suffered, what you spend

You love more somebody when he is not perfect, when he is as vulnerable as strong

Don´t want to feel sad but I can´t avoid it, don´t want to cry but I need to do it

Don´t care if it´s a year, two or six, for me it´s the same, you´re not here anymore

Sweet person, funny guy, lovely friend any doubt about? Introverted composer, amazing voice, sometimes lonely, sometimes full of not knowing friends.

From somewhere I don´t know if you know, just wanted to remind you as the best you had inside your heart, from where all what inspires and touch our souls every day came from. Don´t care about the dark side ´cause we all have one, I keep the good and beautiful essence of you because I believe that the light is always stronger than the dark.

Someday, somewhere in our big and parallel universe I hope we could share a day, a story, a smile, a funny dancing night, just playing around and laugh.

You´re always inside my thoughts, my prayers and my heart. Hope all this love of all the people here will go straight to your spirit, you deserve it, that and more.

I love you very very much, please smile wherever you are, you´re very missed. God bless you my sweet Layne.

We'll never forget him. not even if the new stuff takes off. and it is bitter sweet at every Alice show i see. I wrote nancy an email today letting her know how everyone has been writing in about Layne and how he is not forgotten in the least. I know he's up there in Rock N Roll Heaven for sure jamming out with the greats. .

    I allmost forgot this.

Such a great loss, incredible talent that we lost this day.

    Re: CIAO LAYNE

His beautiful words really helped me get through some tough times. They made me laugh, they made me cry and they made me scream. Every time I was angry or sad his music pulled me through. I'll never for get the day I found out he had died. I cried for 3 hours straight and didn't even go to school the next day.  Listening to Alice In Chains and Mad Season was like a therapy session, and I always felt better afterwards. Thank you Layne Staley, I love you.
