    Mark Lanegan

One of my personal favorite singers of all time. I love his solo stuff, I love his stuff with the Trees, I just love his voice period. Any other Lanegan fans out there?

I agree!  Definitely good stuff...  Him and Layne on "Long Gone Day" is an amazing tune.... Haven't heard much of his solo stuff though..

I'm convinced if Layne smoked 4 packs of unfiltered smokes a day he'd have sounded like Mark Lanegan Wink

The first time I heard him on "Long Gone Day", I thought it was okay, and then when Layne came in with his part, I almost died. I had no idea that there was any Layne stuff out there besides with AIC. Finding out about Mad Season and the CD and Video, was like Layne making a new album. I like to have had a celestial experience when I heard that tremendous voice again on a song totally new to me. Damn was it good! And on " Lifeless Dead", I dare anyone to find a better song!!!! Great vocal, lyrics, and rocks! MikeCool

Yes  great album. i’ve always likened that album to the sound of being loaded. it’s dark and beautiful. it’s cool to listen to when it’s raining.

I agree. A lot of those songs get stuck in my head, especially the bass lines. I love his voice with PJ's too. I went to his website recently and there wasn't anything there. Do you know if he is one the new QOTSA? I haven't shelled out the $ for that one yet.

Yes, actually. Check it out here: http://www.onewhiskey.com/discography.htm#collab

Having in mind the situation with the official site, that's the greatest archive for Lanegan related info. Enjoy!

I like Screaming trees & Lanegan+Layne live... but I saw Lanegan this year live with Isobel Campbell (ex. Belle & Setastien) and it was very boring... smooth...
