    Re: The Life Thread

I gotta say..one of my biggest fears is death..

Its always in my mind and idk im really scared..im really scared of those last seconds of your life of when you know its the end but you don't know where you'll be in a minute..

My favorite show deals a lot with that...Six Feet Under...amazing show.seriously..and the final episode of the series is beautiful..it's the best finale ever made..great way to end!

I it makes me cry every time I watch it!

I don't fear death because when you die it's all over and there is no regret, etc. because you are dead. It'd be a peaceful nothing.

    Re: The Life Thread

Back to the now, though... I dropped 50 bucks on Oblivion today, but it turns out I need a new video card... I was finally out of debt, but now I'm gonna have to go back under for one... Which I guess is cool, my video card is great but it's still like 5 years old or something... But I'm sure a nice-ish laptop one is gonna be insanely expensive... Damn...

Yay! Turns out, I don't think my type of laptop can change video cards! I just read that somewhere, yay! So I'm either down 50 bucks, or down like 700ish bucks! Whoo! How awesome! Today qwns!

No I guess it is time I got a new laptop and all, but damn, I thought I'd get a lot longer out of it... I love this thing... I could just wait, but... I don't know... Errg...

Most laptops do not have interchangeable video cards, shocking... I know... And even more of them have terrible integrated intel graphic chipsets, which aren't really made to run modern games. Unless you were able to pony up around 1000+$ for a decent borderline gaming laptop with a GOOD (Nvidia/ATI) modern integrated video, I would forget about Oblivion.

My advice would be to build a desktop system, if you are into pc games. You will end up spending about half the money of a really good laptop, and double the performance.

There are ways to run that game on older systems with older vid cards anyhow, visit oldblivion.com for more info on that.

    Re: The Life Thread

Thanks, I'll check it out Yes

I don't really want a desktop though, because I'm not super into gaming anymore, I just really like TES. The laptop's a lot more practical for me. I think dad'll buy me a new one, but he's probably going to wait for the new Windows, 7 or whatever it's called, to come out first... Our crappy Vista desktop runs it, so if I can armwrestle my way into getting time with it, it works... Slowly...

    Re: The Life Thread

It's probably got a few years to go, but my friend said they've announced it. He wasn't sure when it'll be out, though.

Vista sucks. Even the SP didn't do much. It has to be pretty soon or they'll lose everyone.

Creep that was very witty LOL

As for my response..I don't believe the world will end persay. I believe there will be a cultural shift. Our way of thinking and living will change dramatically. I think we will revert back to primitive ways. But I also believe that could happen at anytime. I have no faith in the stability of our government and I strongly believe they will abandon us soon. I think the Earth is about to go through a state of cleansing hence all the "disasters". Call me crazy, maybe I am..But my family and I read alot about conspiracy theories and the state of the world.
