Naw, you won't kill  this thread. There's till plenty to be said, and will undoubtedly be said about Layne.

 Reasons Why I Love Layne:

1) His voice really came from within from a natural talent.

2) His voice was absolutely beautiful in that he took what he could do vocally in a lot of directions.

3) Just reading interviews, I can tell that he's got a good sense of humor. Humor is something that a lot more people need, and i'm glad that he contributed humor to the world.

4) He certainly did not hold back in the music when it came to revealing what he was going through in his life. He was brutally honest there.

5) The fact that so many people have been touched by this man and helped in different ways is quite astounding. Even if the sound of his voice just made another person feel good is a good thing.

6) He's completely human and definitely knew that he was human.

Thank you, Layne, for letting us see/hear you through your amazing voice. Your voice has soothed many a sad soul and brought a lot of people a ton of joy. You are greatly missed, but I'm thankful for what you left us. I hope you are now truly at peace.

Man, I don't know where to start.

Layne has done so much for me, saved my life, got me through very hard times. He's done that for so many people. AiC as a whole did that and I think it's soo cool how the music still translates so well to the new kids.

Layne, as a singer - Raw Power. AMAZING voice. It was so different and I believe even ahead of it's time, because a lot of people are JUST NOW realizing it's importance and strength.  I've never been so moved by a *voice*

Layne, as an songwriter - He felt what a lot of us felt, but had the ability to transfer it to paper. He felt the hurt and suffering we all did.  

Layne, as a artist - The boy could create the coolest art. Just look at the cover for Mad Season's 'Above'. He took that picture of he and Demri and re drew it and it was AWESOME. Of course the AiC sun logo is awesome too.   

Layne, as a person - What can I said? He was the type of person you PRAY you meet in your life. Smart, caring, funny as hell, considerate, an overall great friend to have.

What I miss about him, is that he was a everyday guy. Someone who I could see myself just hanging with and talking to about anything. He loved video games just like me and he loved Spongebob, that was awesome to find out. He was a awesome guy and I miss that I never got to experience that first hand, if that makes sense.

I still don't know how someone so physically small had such power. I was blown away the first time i heard "love hate love". Just unreal. I patterned my singing voice after his. That much rage and pain with control. unreal. I do remember seeing an awards show ( i think it was the grammys) where they had a slide show of all the people in music who had died that year. Lisa "Left eye" Lopez got a rousing ovation while Layne got a few scattered claps. I turned the show off and never watched again. Obviously, no one there knew talent. Layne and AIC are a fixture in my cd player and MP3 player. I would love to see Layne upon stage with AIC. Sometimes, I guess the pain is too great, and you simply take whatever medicine makes you feel..........nothing. I miss him.

and Clerks 2 was GODLY. Porch Monkey 4 Life stole the movie for me.
