    Re: new material

Okay, you guys win. I guess i'm just sick of rumours about other bands i used to like getting back together and recording new stuff. I never really got into Jerry's solo stuff and i supose its as, if not more heavy but it sounds flatter to me (not just because layne isnt singing). More importantly though, the time gap between now and the last record for me personally seems massive. I heard them for the first time 3 years after their last album and I felt as though i'd completely missed the boat. Layne's death crushed any hopes i had of hearing anything new but then all this happened and i even got to see them play live. I still feel that there's a massive gap between going on the road to play the classics and recording a new album with a guy who is already in another band so i won't make any excuses for that. Like you, i hope my scepticism is proved wrong.

I am all the days that you choose to ignore.

Re: Where is the new music???

The guys are all out in LA now, The Baldy is *supposed* to be heading out there in a bit so hopefully we'll get the scoop soon!

I am sure you are aging gracefully Wink

...You my friend, I will defend.

And if we change, well I love you anyway.

When you say that they are in LA, does that mean they're recording?  Album work I hope.  Just in time for a fall tour.Stick out tongue

Gwen, any updates from Baldy?  Sorry, I'm just getting anxious ( I think the reality of a new album is starting to set in finally).  Anyone else as stoked as me?

Re: Where is the new music???

YES!!!  I can't wait, but hanging on with great expectation and anticipation for sheer greatness from the band that I love so dearly.  Thorough dedication here - and I KNOW with all of you, too!!  Patience is difficult, but the creation of something awesomely, fantastically great takes time (unfortunately).  Mike, hang in there bud, it'll, hopefully, be worth the wait.  And, us "oldies" stay young through the music, so never lose your love of it or AiC - it's the fountain of youth!  Maybe Baldy will come back with a sneak peak that he'll post of the guys in the studio?!?!?!?  That would be cool!

Funny you say that about feeling young!!! Whenever I'm running in the gym at the middle school that I coach at, whenever an AIC song comes on, it's like I'm floating. I never hurt when Alice is on!!! I still love to rock out with the young ones whenever I go to a concert. And I do think the wait will be worth it, to see Alice back up there on the charts and in Rolling Stone and the other music mags, getting the props that they diserve!!! Hope to see some of you at a tour in the fall!!!! Mike

The ATL is still kickin'! And it ain't all rap, although that's what currently makes us famous! I used to live on "Bankhead Ave." Ha! But we didn't do the "Bankhead Bounce" I bet those of you who know that song never knew what it meant!!! Mike
