 I'm not really privy to anything going on, but I spoke to The Baldy after a show in Nashville last year, and he said that the band would most likely not tour in 2008 because they were looking forward to getting into the studio this year. From what I heard, Will is probably going to sing for the band. Also, no mention of changing the name has been made, and they have the blessing of Layne's mother to keep using Alice In Chains. Does anyone remember Jefferson Airplane of the 60's? They changed to Jefferson
Starship in the 70's, and as they were going downhill (fast), they changed their name yet again to just plain Starship. It didn't help them at all, and I'm assuming (making an ass out of you and me both--LOL) that their choices had to do also with a new lead singer. Correct me if I'm wrong, or just sue me. But I ain't worth much. Me go now.
AIC is not my obsession.....its more important than that.

Maybe something was guiding their decisions besides the all-mighty dollar. Amazing, huh?

Sorry to leave you all in suspense, but here's the scoop on why I haven't posted the scoop: I was in L.A. for three days and spent a couple of those days with the band in the studio and also hanging out at Jerry's house listening to new material. After that I immediately left to head out to Indio California to begin working on the Coachella Festival, which is where I am now. My last night in L.A. I wrote up a brief detailing of my time in the studio, but the consensus was that it wasn't up to par, so I was asked to re-work it, which I haven't been able to do. I literally don't have time out here for anything other than Coachella business, so it may be another week or two before I'm able to take a crack at it. I have some pictures that have been approved, and I'm hoping to put together some video for the subscribers as well, but again, it'll be a few weeks. I apologize for not being able to get this done on time, but I promise you'll get some news (relatively) soon. Exhaustedly yours, Baldy
