Hi Nature! Please come to L.A. if you can! I wish Denver was on a Saturday or Sunday because we'd come to meet you! I can't believe I'm considering the Seattle trip....I've never seen any band so many times on the same tour in so many different cities! In keeping with the point of this thread - I think tonight's show rates as one of the best I've seen so far. AiC were tight, everyone had a smile on their face, the technical issues were down to a minimum (William was low during one song for some reason and I did notice him swap wireless mic's at one point) and Jerry only asked his tech to boost his levels once. The crowd was great but a little violent as it got later...I think at one point there were 3 people crowd surfing (there was one girl who kept getting sent to the front, over the barricade, and then came past me to get lifted into the crowd again. I even think William either jumped down behind the barricade or was pulled down into the crowd...Big Val sprung into action and looked concerned as he pulled him out and William seemed a bit surprised and sheepish once he got his legs back under him. And...we got Dirt!

I dunno, I just had another change of schedule AGAIN.....SO I have no

know I'm definately going to the Denver show & that's about as far
as I've gotten
I'll have to ask William what he was trying to do LOL .......
I never saw anyone so happy to get dirt

Re: New York Second Show Reviews
There's always next year. AIC TOUR 2007!!! Nah...two, three shows tops for that one. And life won't really be boring. Like I said, so many other concerts to go to. But this tour with my favorite band was definitely a highlight of my concert-going career. Obviously.

Re: New York Second Show Reviews
Wednesday's show was MUCH more condusive for an actual AIC fan...there were moshpits, but it didn't spread all around the floor; the fans for the first show were ACTUAL fans; everyone respected each other for the most part (my vantage point at least).
But tonight...oh man, the most obnoxious, athletic type, jock, football player from the rich suburbs who only drinks beer because he doesn't know anything else. That type, there were TROIS (3), and one of them was fucking horrible. Everyone around him who werent with him just wanted to slug him in the fucking head, but...hey, at least the sound system for the mics were MUCH better for today's show compared to Wed's. Wed's show i heard nothing.
Highlight...post show...Jerry, and Sean with Big Val just casuall stroll by the small crowd without stopping for us, but said hello and walked away.
So the 6 of us from the show (we just found each other on the line from Wednesday's show), walk to eat at McD's...cheap food, fast, and we're in, talk for a long time, and then leave. But holy shit...there he was...Jerry. Just casually walking in, sunglasses on, Seahawks beanie on, but that distinctive Jerry look nowadays. We all got nervous (the 6 of us...the rest didnt know who the fuck he was...fucking assholes), then one asked for his autograph, then another, and then me. I'm just on cloud 9 now that Jerry, the heart and soul of AIC currently (timeline wise, Layne and Jerry) signing my 2 hour old baseball cap i bought at the show is now deemed "never able to wear again" b/c of the autograph.
I really wanted to wear the hat too on my campus and show "Look kiddies, REAL music!".

Re: New York Second Show Reviews
Thursday's show was my 2nd time seeing AIC (10/29 in Albany) and in the Albany show I was right up front and in the NYC show I stayed back right by the rail in the back (near the mixing board). There are definitely advantages to both spots but I was overall happy about the sound from where I was. Now to the show:
Before the show we saw Jim Breuer up in the balcony and one of my friends screams his name and we all give him the devil horns and he just nods his head pointing back to us. Awesome way to kick off the show!
They played the same set as Albany and I was trying to guess each song before it started and a few times I was pleasantly surprised :) Jerry's guitar playing was perfect note for note, the solos sounded right out of the albums. Mike & Sean's playing was on key as well. William just keeps on amazing me with his singing. At times he sounds exactly like Layne while other times he has his own style. I think bringing his own style to AIC is what is making the shows so amazing and fresh.
The highlight of the night was when they played DIRT for the encore. Everybody in the crowd went absolutely nuts when Jerry started the wah-wah intro. The crowd response to Rooster & Would was amazing as well, I don't think 1 person in the crowd was not singing.
The NYC was a great conclussion to my leg of the AIC tour and to be honest if I wasn't able to see them ever again, I would be satisfied that the NYC show was my last.

I went to both shows at the nokia in nyc and i thought weds show was much better.the sound was definatley better on thurs but their was more energy on weds.jerry was awesome and duval did a decent job filling those big shoes.they left off a couple of great songs but i understand they cant fit everything in.

Yeah, those were the dickheads I was talking about in my review, but I counted four altogether. Like the battle of the giants. Again, I can hold my own in any pit, but I was staying the hell away from that squad. That fat fuck was intolerable. I really just wanted to kick him full force in the back of his knees and bring him down, but I'm pretty confident that the other 3 would have kicked my ass.
