I am surprised they would let you into the condo...maybe one of them is empty because they use it as a model for showing?  I don't think they would leave Layne's condo empty just because he lived there...

Soul Desertion...I didn't have enuff guts to go inside the building just made it to the door and looked at the buzzers wondering which one it was. But I also took some pics of the place, and the went across the street to buy my dog a ball at the pet store to make it more special. I imagine went inside that store a few times to get stuff for his cat.

Anyhoo how did you get inside the building?
 

 

It was really like immaculate timing, because hours before we had made our way to see Kurt's house and the gate to the backyard was open so we got some pics of that too...Afterwards we went to the Condo's and there was a little kid standing outside on the sidewalk with his dog. He let us in and the whole time my friend and I couldn't believe it because as he buzzed his brother on the intercom, his brother was asking why he hadnt taken the dog the four blocks he was supposed too...and the little boy was saying "I just didn't feel like it today" Then the brother asks, "Zack who is that with you?" And he says "some people that want to get in and see so let me in!" At that point he was going to the same floor as us and I was just thinking wow this day has been really lucky!

I was also trying to decide if posting the pics on here would be disrespectful, but at the same time I know how much everyone loves Layne and I thought they might want to see some pics of the place he spent his last days.

Sadie :) I know that's the cat that Jerry kept. And the other cat was Petey, but I don't know what happened to that one :(

Go to the thread memories of Layne and a few pages back there is the post from an anonymous friend of his talking about what was going on around 95. Plus his cats are mentioned and how he had a litter in his closet or something. Check it out, it's a little insight into his life.

I don't think he looks that young, judging by his sleeves, must be  '94-'96. That's a great pic tho =)
