After several versions and a lot of back and forth, the Layne Staley Tribute page is finally done. Check it out here.

Okay, it's not completely done. We had to launch it without the Layne tribute video but we're hoping we can add that to the page by the end of the month. Also, you'll see that the page has a guestbook section that is coming soon. I don't have an exact date on when that will be launching as our guestbook maker is pretty swamped at the moment but maybe we can arrange it so that the guestbook and the video launch at the same time. Until the guestbook is ready people can continue to pay their respects to Layne in the Memories of Layne thread.  

Can't wait to see how this page evolves.

Lindsay, is the write up on Layne final or is that just a temporary bio? Just curious. And I agree on the comments about more pics are needed... that reminds me Lindsay, can you please check your PMs.

......over nearly a decade of' "official sites" this is by far the closest to a real bio/Tribute page yet......patience, you guys 

It'll be extremely difficult to get much "extra info" from insiders who knew Layne, but this is a start...... 

While the bio can always evolve, there are no immediate plans to really change it. It was approved by Layne's mom who also helped to edit it so you can understand why we don't want to mess with it too much. An updated version of the band timeline that used to appear on the old site will soon be coming to this site and it will list off more details on Layne's life (like his work with Mad Season).

Photos - if you've got any, please send them over. They don't have to be amazing shots of Layne rocking on stage. If any of you were lucky enough to meet Layne and have your picture taken with him, send us a scan on that photo and we'll post it. 

And Annik - I've answered your PM.

once you add more content to that page is there going to be a fee to view that as well?

Wow.  I'm speechless.  What a birthday gift to Layne - to post that awesome tribute video!  I had no idea it was that close to being able to be posted to the site!
