i'll probably be on it.....though i really hope i'm not!
~ me being short means never getting any air in the pit.....which means i was a sweaty mess!  ew
(i thought the show was going to be held in the ballroom but they played on a smaller stage, which ended up being really cool ~ but it was pretty damn tight)
we did manage to slither our way up to the second row ~ amazing how sharing a doob with ppl lightens them up and makes them much more inclined to let you get in front of them :) hehehe
and there was a cool dude and his g/f-wife that shared his beer with us during the show to help combat dry mouth ~ all in all the crowd was frickin' cool and it felt like a big party
i hear from one of the girls i went with that some fuckface on the rail in front of her stood there giving them the 'thumbs down'.......good thing i didn't see that or i probably would have broke his thumb for him....if he didn't like it then wtf was he doing taking up valuable space on the rail???????   grrrr

Jerry's observation of "someone's always got to be a ***" comes to mind......

Smaller stages are so much cooler, you lucked out Wink

"New Song" was actually a cover of Elton John's "Curtains" of the Captain Fantastic album. Sounded killer though. I was able to capture some audio of this song.

In a format you can post somewhere??

In the end we are what we pretend to be...

I wish I was there. I'm getting this mental image of a mosh pit fight, and then a body bag, and...

That sounds so cool, meeting the band like that! My first concert was Motley Crue, so I'm actually glad I didn't meet 'em (ha), but it was uneventful... I was going to make a crack about being able to pass as 7, 5'1", but today I learned I look at least over 16 or 17 (heh that's a great story but I don't have time to get into it)...

I'm trying to figure out how to turn it into a video to pictures so I can put it on Youtube, but I'm a little ignorant on the technical end. I have a few short video clips on my profile though. Check me out on youtube. My user name is nickg666 there too. Check back and hopefully I can get my audio tracks posted in the next week or so. I have complete tracks of love hate love, sludge factory, would?, curtains, and squeeze box.

the chic that saw it commented  loud enuff for him to hear
she was ready to shove his thumb up his ass if she saw it again

it wasn't a 'moshing' show and thankfully there weren't any asslicks there that thought it was, ya know?
at one point jerry told security to stand down a bit.....saying it wasn't 'that kind' of night (i couldn't see, but i think some ppl wanted to get out of the front and they must have been pushing them back in)

A few people were crowd surfing and securtiy pulled one guy out and it looked like he smacked his face pretty hard off the guard rail.  After that is when Jerry made the comment.

Re: LIVE ALBUM FROM MILWAUKEE ACOUSTIC HOUR SHOW!!!

The show in Milwaukee exceeded all expectations.  I was just wondering if anybody else noticed William Duvall forgetting a few lyrics in the song "I Can't Remember"?  He did a really good job despite the small blunder.  I never in my life had that much fun at a concert.  God the crowd was really into it.  It was like they were holding on to an orgasm for ten years and let it all out when AIC hit the stage.  My voice was gone by the end of the show.  I remember my girlfriend saying "I really didn't even need any more alcohol after they started playing."  I was skeptical about the show despite being a huge fan for the last twelve years.  DO NOT HESITATE TO SEE THIS SHOW AS MANY TIMES AS POSSIBLE.  Who would have ever thought they would have played "Love Hate Love", and "I Can't Remember" at an acoustic show?  Thanks for the autographs Jerry!  I'm glad I decided to park in the ghetto or I would have never even passed your tour bus.  Anybody who payed twenty bucks for parking should re think their fear of the hood.  Miss You forever Layne, I'm glad I got to sing your songs at the top of my lungs one more time.

The Milwaukee show was AMAZING.  It more than exceeded all expectations that I had.  It was the best concert I have EVER seen.  I still can't believe how great it was.  The Rave rocks and AIC rocks-what more could a person need or want.  For my husband and I, the concert had been fifteen years in the making.  AIC is by far our favorite band and we had never been able to go before, so this was a memory we'll never forget.

Re: LIVE ALBUM FROM MILWAUKEE ACOUSTIC HOUR SHOW!!!

I was at the show on Friday. I can't even put into words how incredible it was.

I live in Minneapolis, so my boyfriend and I drove to Milwaukee for the show. Neither of us have ever seen AIC perform live, but he was lucky enough to see Jerry when he was touring between his two solo albums. Needless to say, we were VERY excited about the show.

We lucked out and got right up against the barrier in front of Jerry, which in itself was mind-blowing. I didn't expect to get that close, that's for sure! Everyone around us was pretty cool, except for a drunk girl who pushed her way up front and then ended up yelling at the band most of the time. That was annoying. And by "annoying" I mean I wanted to smack her upside the head. Whatever.

It was so surreal seeing them. It still hasn't really hit me, you know? The band's music has been part of the soundtrack of my life for so long now, and I pretty much just figured I'd never get to see them live. But now I have, and it's mind-blowing.

The band seemed like they were having so much fun onstage. It felt like they were just sitting around jamming in someone's basement, and there just happened to be a huge crowd there hanging out with them. It put a smile on my face to see them smiling and having fun, cracking jokes, laughing and just doing what they all love to do.

Anyway, I really do hope this ends up being a live album. I didn't know the guy making jokes before the band went onstage was a comedian, so I hope he wasn't just saying that as a joke.

I had such a blast at the show. They were so fantastic!
