I'd like to know who has been here the longest? I came in during the Road Runner Days, but I know that some of you were there before me. Who started on the RR board that is still here? And did AIC have a site when they were still touring back in the day? Who was in charge of it? Mike

The original "Rooster" from the RR board!

.....Me, of course.....I'm always the oldest (left standing)....

The first, original AIC board's people are long gone by now.....I came along in 98 for Jerry's solo stuff, on his original board (set up by sony/columbia) & then to the AIC Woodshed board (same year).....Foof is the only one (sorta) around that has been on an AIC/Cantrell board longer than me, Spacemuffin is another one......Danza & Dobe's been around almost as long, I think......and one of the Woodshed's mods is here too, incognito......

There's a lot of RR board people here......they just did a name change for these boards......

i came around on the cantrell boards back in august of 05. yippie for me

I've been around for awhile. I just usually post around tour time.

I have been using Alicemudgarden as a screen name since 2000 back on AIC.net 

 

Look how far Alice has come in just the last few years, almost back from the dead. I remember when I went to see Jerry out on tour, and almost no one knew who I was talking about! Remember when we wondered if we would ever see him "live" again, or if there would ever be any new music? Well, now it looks like their will be! We are being rewarded for our patience, it seems. I love the old stuff (both AIC and Jerry) and am totally hyped about the new! How about ya'll? Mike

I remember the waiting & waiting & waiting.....and then the sad news that Layne was gone & how so many felt that really was the end of it, the end of Alice......Had Jerry's solo career continued, I doubt it would have been joined by Sean & Mike (even tho part of it had been)......so for the simple fact that this has brought those 3 together to perform publically again, all this activity is great.......and it's about friggen time.....

I know what they are capable of....I know what William's capable of....all together, at the same time, creating new music, will probably exceed even my expectations....

All I ask is that we don't have to wait another decade before we get to hear it

I go all the way back to the Sony Music boards -i.e. the Wouldshed and the UBB. They were undoubtedly a psychological black hole for whomever came to read or post on a daily basis. There is probably still a ripple effect going on from the garbage that Sony allowed to happen on those boards.

You don't want to know who moderated and/or had the most clout. Tit for tat, I believe they were the most psychotic people you could find and they were from all over the globe, literally.

During that "waiting, waiting, waiting" period Nature refers to, many people lost their minds, arguably myself included. Most people came and went, spent a year or two making 10,000 posts and then disappeared back into reality. Many bizarre Lord of the Flies type heirarchies and cliques developed, pitting men against men in fights about god remembers what...

Then around 2002 their had been established cute little nicknames for each "type" of message board user based on their behavior. However, on my own AIC/Cantrell boards I used to run, I used two terms "banned", or "not banned".

I was on in 2002 I think it was AIC.net but I didn't go under this sn.  I don't remember what I used.  But I actually became friends with a lot of people there and wish I could find one person I talked to the most in particular.

I've never posted here...it's my first time.  But, I was way, way back on aic.net and also on the jerrydepot site...anyone remember those days?  I was reading the post from folks who were hoping to find those they used to chat with and it reminded me that I'd lvoe to chat with some of those folks again as well.

Remember Avalino? From the Depot board......I always wonder where he went to.....The Depot was actually the first board to have a bandmember post on there, too, Josh Howser from the Cantrell solo days.......Dot net was the first board to have family member(s) post on it......and the first Cantrell board (official one) had the smuttiest threads, until Lynda came along
