There was talk in the off season about moving Shaun Marion over to the Lakers and that Kobe would stay then...

Where ever Kobe goes, that will be my new disliked team. Despite all the off court drama, I just don't like his ego on the court. Somethin' about the guy. I try to make every home game we play the Lakers...just to watch us kick their asses.

what if he goes to pheonix? for the record, i hate kobe too.

that will NEVER happen, lol. Thx for the "what if" thought heartattack moment Sludge.

I been reading alot of shit on espn.com and what not about the bulls being the best suitor for Kobe and thats were Kobe wants to go.  Probably sending at least Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, maybe Thabo Sefalosia?, and the Lakers definitely want Louel Deng.  I do believe Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA as much as it pains me to say it.  But it would kill me to have to root for this prick.  Why build a team from the bottom up and then break them up when they are so close?  Any other Bulls fan feel this way?

Thats a pretty steep price for Kobe. They do need a scorer and I am not a huge Gordon fan but man, Im not sure I would break up the entire squad for Kobe.

very steep indeed.  I really like Gordon, he's a scorer (not Kobe, but ya know), I just can't have him taking the last shot anymore, I cringed last year everytime the ball went to him in the final seconds.  But I like our lineup almost all the way through.  Hinrich will have a better year cuz he didnt play for the USA team this summer.  Gordon gives you points and hustle.  Deng is the man and has worked on his post moves and even 3-pointers, Ty Thomas is gonna have a break out year.  Wallace is Wallace just a little older and slower.  but the headband is what holds his powers, so he'll be better thsi year.  Joe smith, my boy Nochi, and Thabo coming off the bench, we have no business not winning the East.

we used to have an nba team before my time (cincy royals). i think that's where the clippers came from. i'd like to see us get one again but i don't think it will be anytime soon.

i'd much rather be a fan of a horrible team that a band wagon fan. nothing worse than a band wagon fan or sports bigamist.

    amen my brutha...

and now to put myself on the line... i'm a lifelong trailblazers fan (redskins for football), and even though have not liked a lot of the choices in personel a few years back, have never "jumped ship" and become the fairweather fan i abhore.

now this year i am really looking forward to... the blazers finally got rid of that black hole that is zach randolph. and while he could score... he demanded the ball way too much and slowed everything down for portland.

now while we'll have to wait until next season for greg oden to heal, and for fernandez to come over from europe, roy and aldridge are the dynamic duo... it was nice last night, watching roy get back into form and taking over the game in the final quarter to ensure a victory (yeah its preseason, but this is a very young team that needs experience still). but the key point i like to make about "taking over" is this... he used his teamates... whereas someone like kobe, would try to do it himself and alienate the team in doing so...

now as far as kobe "ego" bryant... he can play... but his head and attitude are just too much to have on any team... i have never liked him, and probably never will. 'nuff said.

and having only one major sports team in a city sucks...

i hear ya man about having just one team. i mean cincy has 2 teams (reds and bengals) but i wish we had an nba team. if we did i would prolly be more of an nba fan. do you like the ducks? they got one hell of a team this year. kicked my wolverines asses.

not a huge college afficianado... but like the ducks as well as the beavers (oregon state), but edge to the ducks during "civil war" games cause i almost went to college there...

other than that... stick primarily to nba, and nfl...

    Re: NBA time

I am so f'n frustrated right now...

good ole comcast has the city of portland by its nuts

the only way you can see all of the Blazers games is if you have comcast (or the NBATV thing)

they were originally going to set up satellite providers with access to the games... but do you think that happened?

    of course it didn't

so here i sit having to listen to the games.. or hope there is a national telecast, or a local TV telecast, so i can watch the game

    sucks...

    Re: NBA time

    hmmmm.

and they were thinking the Blazers were going to suck this year.... (basketball analysts)

and yet... here they are riding an 11 game win streak, without the #1 draft pick. and being the youngest team in the NBA (avg 24 years of age),

well what do you know ...  I guess even they can be wrong too...

    Re: NBA time

Well the streak ended at 13, but after the one loss, have come back to win 3 more in a row... the last after Roy only played 9 minutes before re-aggravating an injury suffered the game before.

And the hero this game? Seattles own Martell Webster, lighting up for 24 points in the 3rd quarter.

Of course the rest of the team did it's part, but thats the whole thing... team unity!

It's not about one player carrying the team, it's about teamwork.

And at 24 years of age... coach McMillan has taught these young guys well.
