    Rose:

I'm so incredibly lucky that I was there. I was one of the only ones on the floor who was actually standing and dancing. It was one of the most amazingly beautiful things I have ever seen.

These are the only ones I've been able to find.

    Oh My F*****G God!!

Thank you for posting this! Big Smile and Baddanna, I really appreciate you for coming here and sharing your experience with us! I believe it must have been quite a night for you... not to mention a totally different kind of audience... I wonder what it felt like to you to hear people shouting during your performance ... is that common for you?

Re: Nov 2, 2007 ~ Seattle, WA [Benaroya Hall]

Does anybody have a program from the show they can scan?  My roommates and I somehow managed to not get handed one as we walked in.  I'm in a music class at UW and have to write a concert report on a symphony, and they are going to budge the rules a bit and let me write about the Children's Benefit show.  Even just a list of all of Matt Messina's peices played before AIC got on stage would be greatly appreciated.  I have to try and talk about the entire evening, not just AIC, which is going to be the hard part!

As all above have stated it was an amazing show, and despite the fact they only played a few songs, it was well worth it.  The whole thing was awesome.

Re: Nov 2, 2007 ~ Seattle, WA [Benaroya Hall]

The program doesn't have anything about the songs played in it... at least not what I have.  It just has a list of everyone who was involved, a message from Matt, some info about the charity, and a list of the sponsors and guild members.  You can probably get ahold of Matt himself through his website mattmessina.com or his myspace page.  I'm sure he'd know better then anyone. ;)
That's how you become great, man, hang your balls out there.

    Holy Crap,

Are you in that class that's in Kane Hall with a zillion other people, it's like a 2 credit class?  I took something similar (it was a totally BS class for filler credits), but I had to go to concerts and write something about them, too.  But this was like 13 years ago....could it be that this crazy class has stood the test of time?

PM me and let me know if you still need the brochure, which -- as someone else pointed out -- doesn't chronicle the evening (it just highlights/gives a little bio for each of the acts).

    Cheers from a UW alum!

Sorry, I obviously meant to "quote" ben whatever his name is who requested the brochure

Ben -- I just remembered that you can order the DVD of the entire concert, using the brochure on the back of the program.  That said, I'm not sure whether it will be ready in time (after editing, etc.).

Oh Dear God, I just read this post!Rolling Eyes   I would friggin' KILL to have an EU passport and live and work in Florence, has always been and will probably always be my favorite European city Seriously, "knowyourself,"  take it from this passionate and devoted native Seattleite -- even though Florence wasn't the breeding ground for AIC -- Seattle is a cultural wasteland compared to Firenze!

Thanks, I really didn't know when that would be ready, and I'm anxiously awaiting it.  Too bad you couldn't be there, for sure, but the DVD will certainly be better than the YouTube posts, which -- if I hadn't been there -- would have given me just enough to drive me nuts, wanting more.  LMFAO at  "boots and hoodie...."  I was wearing a sophisticated, very overpriced designer dress perfectly befitting the symphony (i.e., fucking boring), though I did have some really great Kate Spade CFM pumps that went with them that I believe made some of the fun people(i.e., the "AIC fans") feel comfortable enough to talk to me and hang with me before the show and during the intermission, when we were all clamoring at the bar, downing Grey Goose shots!
