Thanks for the reviews inure, daniel & dinahlm!  It's a shame VR sucked, I've heard that from everyone.  I guess you and I were lucky Punky as they were on fire in Dallas, don't you agree?  I expect it comes down to the fact that Scott's off the wagon and things are pretty fraught in their camp at the moment with the chance of a prison sentence hanging over his head. muppet!

I also expect the camera gestapo were out with their batons as usual so there'll be no pics WTF is that all about anyway?  I take my camera everywhere here and never get told off - I do only ever take crappy pictures tho

Thank you all for your reviews on this show.  I had REALLY wanted to go and came very close to buying tickets, but things didn't work out and I wouldn't have made it there anyway due to the ice storm that passed through the day I'd have been flying to LA.  Still, wish I'd been there!

Great show, Alice in Chains should have been the headliner.  Duvall's no Staley, but he has improved since I saw them last year at the Wiltern.  Inez and Kinney rocked as always.  Jerry did some awesome improv on his solos(Rooster I believe it was).  He seriously looked like he was having a blast.  End of the Show on screen was either:  Stop War/No War, cant remember which, I was left stunned by their show.  

I have to concur about VR,  They were so loud it messed up the sound.  Slash ruled.  Scotts vocals were so messed up.  I think the tone was too high.  I'm sure if the sound crew had more time to fine tune the equipment they could have made the show better.  It was definately interesting watching them run around the stage and Weiland jumping off of Amplifiers.  Walking out of there I was deaf for a couple minutes.

Well I just got back to kauai and Im still in shock. If someone were to tell me two years ago I would see alice live I would have lauphed in there face and told them that they were crazy and that I would have a better chance of seeing elvis live. Jerry was so incredible. I hear Jerry played a small acoustic show on oahu a few years ago for N.A. and I missed it but this makes up for it. If anyones coming to kauai ever shoot me an email and I can give you tips on where to go, where to stay, best beaches, where to get kauai buds etc etc... Id love to meet some fellow alice fans I think I am one of only a few. Wow the tip top motel I think it closed due to drug traffic suprised you stayed there. WHere have some of you stayed when on island>?

My mom and I went in summer of 2004.  She won the trip through work and took ME with her -- WOO!  They treated us with the royal treatment - we stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for 5 days on Oahu then stayed 5 days at the Hyatt Regency near Poipu on Kauai.  It was HEAVEN on earth, I kid you not.

I hope I get to come back some day - and I'll def. contact you if I do!  Appreciate the offer for sure!!
