TheREALkiller206:the truth is that he felt guilty for destoying the band and he was embarrassed that he couldn't get his shit together.
And if this is true, and I have no reason to doubt it, all the more reason not to publish a book about those times.
I was shocked and saddened when I checked the link to her website. There's a time counter till "the truth is unlocked". And in the Letter to Layne -thread she wrote that the world needs to know the truth and the only reason Laynes fans are against her book is that they have all these illusions about Layne and that they are afraid they might read something unpleasant. Well I think she's got that wrong. I love and respect Layne as much as one can love and respect someone she has never met. I've never even pretended to know anything personal about him or how he "really was", nor have I ever wanted to. All I know and care to know is what he himself has revealed through his art. And although judging by that he seemed like a beautiful soul, I have no super human fantasies about him that I would be afraid of losing.
He wanted privacy and that's all that matters.
