It's interesting what you said about feeling let down by Layne and it reminds me of a quote: "The crime in suicide lies in the disregard of the feelings of those who are left behind." I can't remember where I read this but it definitely has some truth in it. Layne didn't commit suicide but it could be argued that in a tragic way he did kill himself and let a lot of people down by doing so. It's a very controversial and subjective topic though and I don't really know how to talk about it without probably provoking a negative response from someone.
