oh and i forgot to say waht i meant to say in the first place. stop votin off only danny carey. it makes it less fair. im sure there is another drummer u dont like. as for me:

didn't stop the same people from viting billy corgan off of the guitar elimination thread, and they didn't vote him off because they thought he wasn't good, they voted him off because they didn't like his voice. at least i'm voting against carey because i don't like the playing overall in the music. it's drop tuning crap and note ringing. they aren't progressive, dream theatre, kings x and primus however are.

WRONG, Billy was voted off because he's not that great, there are and were far better people on that list.

You're not a big fan of DMB huh? Well I'm not one either but I can't say if the drummer is any good because I've only heard a couple songs from them and what I've heard tells me not to listen to more.

So how ( if not a big fan ) do you know soooo much about the DMB drummer and how could you possible think Danny isn't good?, I've read what you have to say and I personally feel that you're knocking him for some personal reason, maybe Tool is respected more than a band you really love ( DMB ) or maybe some ex girlfriend of yours loved them more than you and know you're bitter, what ever the reason is, it stinks.

Even people who don't like the type of music Tool plays can still admit to the talent of mr. carey.

Actually, I've never been a big Tool fan period. Highly overrated band.
I know about carter because of a drum teacher who used to teach at a music store I worked at for a few years. carter has a few drum videos that he lent me that were pretty killer. I've also seen him drum with some jazz and r&b groups. Carter is well rounded, I've never seen Carey do only what he does in Tool. There are a lot of people around here that can play like Carey, but when it comes to playing something standard or layed back, or shit even showing emotion in the playing they just can't do it.

p.s. you voted two positives and a negative

Rolling Eyes.....danny carey doesnt play laid back or "show emotion" because he plays in tool! what are you saying he doesnt play laid back, or any other drummer, of course he doesnt play laid back. if he played like that nobody would give a shit about him, and people probably wouldnt even give a shit about tool. and if your talking about emotion while playing then vote for sean kinney, not this carter guy. the drumming in brother is so emotional how he hits that ride cymbal. and frogs is the only song i have ever heard were the drums give a depressing sound. im sure sean kinney plays with much more emotion (in their soft songs) then anyone on this list.
