Laynefan:It's kinda funny how Kurt although a great song writer was a terrible guitarist especially considered to the previous era of Hair Metal. I read somewhere Kurt only took a weeks worth of guitar lessons, I think he learned the rest from his musician friends. he also practiced five hours a day, in the begining.
I heard that Mark was to replace Layne in Mad Season, i really looked forward to that and I do not feel it is disrespectful to Layne in anyway. ( I heard the may have recorded songs with Mark.) In that case I would def love to see AIC with Mark. But I don't know if AIC are friends with Mark in the first place. All I know is that Layne was and his former roomate as well. It would be really intresting to hear Lanegan sing Alice.
Mark at the very least has sang harmony on Rooster as I have the bootleg around here...

Of course Mark doesn't have the higher range that Layne had, but for some of the lower parts I think he could handle it fine. As for new music, it could be quite interesting =)
