with the renewed interest in the sport of curling the monetary stakes have grown to astronomical proportions.....leading to violence in this once passive sport -- toes being broken by well-aimed stones, brooms being used to beat each other bloody.....and in one unfortunate case, actually used to sodomize an unlucky competitor

so my kid goes to watch her friends mom in a curling match just to be a good friend.....afterwards she winds up on the ice trying it herself ~ the instructors all looked at her 'distastefully' due to her piercings, etc, but soon changed their tune when she winded up kicking ass at it ~ "it's nerdy, but its fun!"

so now she plans on trying her hand at roller derby AND curling
