    Alice In Chains and animals?

Is there any reason why theres alot of links to animals?

    For example:

    I Stay Away video
Tripod album cover and inside the booklet
Frogs...the whole story about the band and recording the frogs.
Them Bones video (lots of animals)
    Rooster video (horse)
    Grind video (three legged dog)
Man In The Box video (farm animals like cows and pigs..)
    Again video

    etc.

Did someone in the band like animals?

    random I know..

    peace

You are a very observant person LittleSkinny! I haven´t think about that. Well, I know from interviews I have read that Layne loved very much animals, specially cats, when he died, Jerry adopted his cat, if you have seen Jerry´s MTV cribs, he showed Layne´s cat. Jerry loves animals very much too, he has a ranch with horses, cats, dogs, cows and other farm animals and he colaborates with an animal foundation (I don´t remember the name). I don´t know if Sean and Mike love animals too but I´m sure they do because they seem to be nice people Mr Green and nice people love animals.

A lot can be told about one´s character by the way they treat animals.

Hope that help to answer your question a little bit.

                                                                      Take care Wink

Yeah, maybe that is it then, I guess most of them love animals.
I just found it interesting, and quite cool.
I love the story about them going to record the frogs...thats pretty rad.

    thanks.

Re: Alice In Chains and animals?

.....most of the videos are created & directed by non bandmembers.....so maybe the record company employees have kinky animal fetishes.....or not......

Seems strange that most of the band supposedly love animals, yet you think non-band members create/direct the videos..?

.....non bandmembers really do create & direct the videos....just like non bandmembers create the packaging  artwork, with a couple of exceptions (like Sean creating the dancing fairies).....that's not to say that the band, management, etc etc etc, doesn't have final approval.....

    You´re always welcome LittleSkinny Wink

Maybe they didn´t direct videos but I´m sure they shared some ideas with the directors.

Re: Alice In Chains and animals?

As inclined as I am to laugh at the notion of a beastiality fetish -- I also have to bring up the possibility that animals play a larger role in some symbolic way; perhaps in relation to the lyrics?...animals being caged and whatnot? I wish I could elaborate, but I don't know exactly what to say. It's an idea, at any rate. After all, "Man In The Box" was written after an encounter with mistreated animals being used for slaughter...

You´re right! I read it. That´s what Man in the Box is about.
