    Black Label Society (Layne song)

So today was the first day I heard BLS's song Layne which was wrote about Layne Staley. The first time I heard it I absolutely hated it. After giving it a few more listens, just because it was about Layne, the song is now one of my favorites. I can feel the pain and the emotion that are put into it. I recommend this song to anyone who wants to hear a great song about Layne. It might take some getting used to if you dont know BLS already. His vocals are a mix of Ozzy/Layne. Anyways, check out the song. I guarantee you'll love it.

Zakk Wylde is an incredible musician and an even better person. He has a heart the size of Texas and holds his friends and idols very closely...

I can tell by the raw emotion he put into that Layne song. He sang his heart out.

I can send the song to anyone who needs it. Just PM me

I heard it the day Hangover Music Vol. 6 was released. You can really tell with many BLS songs the passion Zakk has in his singing. It is a great tribute to Layne.

Am I the only one that thinks Zakk used to kind of look and vocally sound like Jerry.

I always thought if Ozzy, Ronnie Van Zant from Skynyrd and Layne had a vocal love child you'd get Zakk

Absolutely. Like the first poster said it took a couple of listens for me to love but I think it's the best tribute song to Layne around.
