I think it's great that they didn't get the guy from American Idol..he was no where near as good as Brett..even though Brett did sometimes run tape live. They were a damn good band. I think that Something Like Human was there masterpiece, and alot better than Sunburn was in my eyes anyways.

I'm disappointed that they didnt get the American Idol guy Chris. He was great. Brett left, which to me was such a shitty decision. If it makes him happy to play bass/guitar in some noname band, then great for him. It's such a waste of a great vocalist though. Fuel needs to get someone new already and start touring. I love Fuel.

    Re: Fuel

Something Like Human is a really great album, but Natural Selection was a big disappointment for me, and now with Brett gone, Im not really sure Ill get their next album, at least I will hear it before buying.

Anybody have their (independent) debut album "Porcelain" ? How is it compared to their later albums ?

As you can see, I like the way he sings. lol. Damn, why did he leave the group? All the good bands have to get messed up.

Edit I messed the quoting up...lol never mind.

Haha!  In Million Miles I love it the way he goes 'HEY!!! I........thinkthatsomedayI'mgonnaneedyou, somehow...I.....THINKIMIGHTHAVELOOOVEDYOU!!!!!' lol

And Haemorrage is a great song!!! (don't know if I spelled that right)...LEAVE LIFE BLEEDUN IN MA HAANDSSS!!! IN MY HANDS AGGGAAAINNNNNN...'

I think Brett left because he lost his voice.  Apparently he had to go through vocal therapy on recording one of their albums, and he has to get it again.  So, they say he can't sing anymore.  Now he plays guitar or bass or someit in another band.

Hey guys here's a good video of Fuel live:

    Re: Fuel

I love fuel too and was very sad that Brett left the band. He was a great singer.  I read I think it was on launch.yahoo.com that the reason he left was because after he had surgery on his vocal chords or something to do with the throat. His throat had healed but not to where his voice would've sounded the same. Plus I guess he just didn't want to risk his voice getting messed up again.

    Re: Fuel

That wasn't the case in fact he's currently on tour singing lead for "Riders on the Storm". Filling Jim Morrison's shoes are some big shoes to fill. And from what I've heard Brett's doing great.

Brett explained his reasons for leaving Fuel in blogs on his myspace page:

     http://www.myspace.com/brettscallions

Plus once he gets state side in July he'll be out on tour (again) playing Ozzfest with Circus Diablo.
