    Queen

One of the greatest rock n' roll bands of all time (well, in my opinion that is!). Consisting of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor, this is a band who truly NEVER gave up and created some of the most well-known songs in rock history.

    Re: Queen

I love Queen. However, the new "Queen + Paul Rodgers" is bullshit. I saw them live back in may. It was a sold out Air Canada Centre show ( I beleive it holds 18,000), and I saw a completely dead crowd (expect for the people and the dead front of the stage). Very dissapointing.

queen is one of my favourite 'classic' rock bands of all time. i grew up on that because it's my mom's favourite as well. no one can replace freddy though. so i refuse to acknoledge the paul rodger era.

    Re: Queen

I love Queen, Last year's road trip was the only one I can remember where we didn't listen to Queen cause we got a bit bored cause we ALWAYS listen to Queen on roadtrips. My mom is like one of the biggest Queen fans I know of. She heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" on the radio for the first time whenit was like 3 hundred and something onthe charts list and knew it was going to hit number 1.

I like their 70's things better. It's just so out there, not like anything else I've ever really heard. I think they got a bit tired of doing the same things so they slowed down inthe 80's,but some songs are really killer from then also.

    Re: Queen

I love Queen so much. 'Don't Stop Me Now' and 'Fat Bottom Girls' are my fav songs.

However, i'm not a fan of them with Paul Rodgers, he does nothing for me vocal wise.

    Re: Queen

Paul Rodgers...what a fucking mistake. I might get flamed for this, no pun intended for the two things that I'm about to say, but my brother had a good point when he said they should have replaced one gay guy with another and asked George Michael to sing for them. If you've seen him on that Freddie Mercury tribute show, you know he did a damn good job, and did a sick job fronting the band.

While I totally see where you're coming from and that George Michael is an apt fit for the band... it wouldn't work. If you think people are comparing Paul to Freddie now, imagine how much worse it would be with George Michael in place? He's too similar vocally to Freddie - I'd rather have someone who is completely different rather than a literal replacement.

I will agree though with what you said about the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert - "Somebody To Love" was electrifying!

Best song is "Stone Cold Crazy" because it's totally non Queen, it's almost thrash metal.:horns:
