We Have A TOOl Thread, So Why Not Look At Maynard's other band? A Perfect Circle

While they lasted, I really digged these guys, esspecially the line-up that consisted with Jeordie White and James Iha. eMOTIVE I didn't like as much as the other two albums, but I do think the soul purpose of that album was great.

GREAT in concert!  Seen them twice (and Tool twice) -- outstanding!

I think 13th step is totally awsome

I kindof like Mer de Norms, I lose interest in it quickly

APC were awesome, flawless live. Looks like they're finished though (for the foreseeable future). Maynard has said hes done with them, Jeordie's in NIN, pumpkins are back together, and billy howerdel is doing a solo album. Looking forward to howerdels solo stuff, hes a great singer. Theirs some APC demos, mostly acoustic, with howerdel singing and they're killer

I'm all for a new APC album, I really dug all their albums. Howerdel is just flat out amazing and combined with MJK...brilliant stuff.

I LOVE APC. I got to see them five times on the 13th Step tour. Billy and Maynard made some great music together. I can never choose which of the first two albums I like best. They both get me on different days. Billy is great live as well. I was on the rail for most of the shows and in front of Billy the whole time. His groove is awesome.

This is weird, but last night, I was driving home from Indianapolis to Philly and I picked up a Pittsburgh FM station and they were playing 3 Libras from the Pittsburgh show I went to in '03. I'm like, hey, this is live, lol. I thought it was cool that they were playing a bootleg!

APC compared to Tool is like Stone Sour compared to Slipknot...100x times better and without all the weirdness.

    Lets see...

I really got into this band heavy after hearing "The Package" back in 03-04. Then I heard 3 Libras and had to stop hesitating about buying Mer De Noms, because that song was so beautiful. Both albums are amazing, sp it's hard to choose my fave these days. I guess it depends on what I want to hear at the moment.

People always talk trash about eMOTIVe, but it's not as bad as they make it out to be. It might be a disappointment after hearing thir first two albums, but take it for what it is. An album full of covers, focusing on political stuff. It's meant to be different.
