    You guys heard them yet?

It's Billy Duffy (The Cult), Brett Scallions (Fuel), Billy Morrison(Campy Freddy), Ricky Warwick (The Almighty), and Jeremy Colson (Steve Vai).

They're playing Slim's in SF on Aug. 18th, and I'll be there, so if anyone goes, let me know so's we can say howdy.

    CIRCUS DIABLO - THE BIO:

    Billy Morrison:-Vocals
    Billy Duffy:-Guitar
    Ricky Warwick :-Guitar
    Brett Scallions:-Bass Guitar
    Jeremy Colson:-Drums

Matt Sorum plays drums on the record and appears courtesy of RCA Records.

“This band has been so much fun to put together. From the writing of the songs with Billy and Ricky, through the making of the record at Matts studio, to the audition process for bass player and drummer – everything has been easy and drama free. Brett and Jeremy are a fucking awesome rhythm section and we are all excited to get the record out there and do a few shows. Its only rock and roll, people!” – Billy Morrison.

Homegrown, Low-Key, on the D/L …… call it what you will: CIRCUS DIABLO has been put together by three friends from the UK and is proceeding at its own, organic pace. No pressure, no world changing plans, Billy Morrison (Camp Freddy), Billy Duffy (The Cult), and Ricky Warwick (The Almighty) got together to record some songs: a) For the hell of it. b) To make some fresh music for their I-Pods c) To damage their hearing a little more. d) For a future planned album release

Initially, the three of them got together in Morrison’s demo studio and kicked it out. Straight Rock, no bullshit. With no plans to do anything except write a few good rock songs, it soon became apparent that they had a chemistry happening. Three weeks and a bunch of songs later, they sat back and listened to what they had written. Powerful, solid, catchy as Bird Flu. With Ricky’s rhythms, Duffy’s hooks and Morrison’s ‘far too many cigarettes and Red Bull’ vocals, they began to think about continuing this project.

They needed a drummer ....... hmm ...... Enter Matt Sorum. With a resume that reads The Cult, Guns N Roses and now Velvet Revolver, Matt is quite possibly the worlds best rock drummer. He also happens to be a close friend of Duffy and Morrison .... and owns a recording studio. The next step was a logical one. Record some of the tracks with Matt on drums, in his studio. Of course, the band still needed a Bass Player. Enter Brett Scallions (Fuel). Although noted for his vocals, Brett is a truly accomplished musician, and his amazing stage presence and backing vocals were perfect for the band. Jeremy Colson (Steve Vai) filled the drum stool with one highly charged audition and completed the package. Take two parts Cult, a pound of Almighty, a drop of Fuel and beat it together with a little VR tossed in for good measure: the end result is CIRCUS DIABLO.

When the stars align, the waters flow in the right direction, and everyone has a break in their schedule, CIRCUS DIABLO plan to play select shows, both in the US and the UK. Keep an eye on www.circusdiablo.com for more details.
