Great band, fuckin underrated. I dont know why they arent fairly big, even though i know Deliverance sold well and their last one too but they truly deserve more praise!

Right on bro, I'm a big fan of COC and really anything that Pepper does. That guy rocks. In the Arms of God was such a rockin album. Total Sabbath tone all over! America's Volume Dealer was great as well. Can't wait for the new Down though!

Good to see some love for C.O.C.  Deliverance was great, as was Wiseblood, America's Volume Dealer was a little different (IMO a little over produced) and In the Arms of God was the best album of last year followed by the new Clutch.  Both great bands that no one has heard of.

Yeah, i agree on America's volume dealer being over-produced. The songs are memorable, theres some amazing stuff there but lacks that raw, dirty guitar sound and a less polished drum sound. But COC's an smart band, made THE comeback with ItAoG, they know what their fans appreciate, they REALLY do! hehe

How about this crap?  I have a friend that plays in a band here in Raleigh and  Mike Dean produced his bands last album, he used to play in Brown with Reed Mullen and sometimes jams with COC.  Well, I have met all of COC individually through him including Pepper, but I was offered the chance to go to John Custer's studio where they will be recording some stuff in the fall.....my friend also writes for an Indy mag here in town and he has an interview set up with COC on Oct. 21 the same night that AIC are playing their only NC show!  Sucks!

Anyone else like these guys? They started is kind of a punk metal band but they really found their sound in the 90's. I recommend people buy their album "Deliverance" it is probably in my top 3 best albums ever. Also "Wiseblood" is very good too. If you like more of their punkier sound I recommend "Blind" which is a classic.

Yea, COC is the shit.  Saw them a couple years ago in Lawrence at a super tiny bar.  COuldn't beleive they played it.  You like DOWN?  Pepper plays guitar for that band too.

Yea I like Down. I really like Nola. The second album wasn't as good to me. And the songs I've heard from the over the under album on myspace sounded good. I will be getting the album as soon as I have some expendable money. What about the St. Louis show?

yea, I have heard some people say that about DOWN II, but I don't understand it.  It is full of good tunes.  Just saw them last night in St. Louis.  It was killer!

Down III has to be Album of the Year as far as I'm concerned.  Phil really sings his heart out on it from dealing with Dime's death, Katrina, and getting clean.  Just a great solid album.  I've got tickets to see them on the 26th and I can't wait.

I don't understand why some people don't like the second one.  NOLA, Bustle in Your Hedgegrove, and Over the Under are all great albums.
